Spiders never bothered me until June, when I was bitten twice in my left eye brow by one. I don't know what kind it was (never saw it, just felt it, thought it was a nagging mosquito), but within a day my eye was swollen shut. I spent two days in Abington Hospital with peri-orbital cellulitis that turned into orbital cellulitis. They pumped me full of antibiotics and steroids through an IV and sent me home with a week dose of antibiotics and steroids. I looked like I went ten rounds with Rocky and it cleared up about two weeks later. My eye lid and eye brow have scars in them from where they busted open from the swelling. The doctor said it was likely a brown recluse. Crazy stuff.

You would hate it around my place. I live in the woods so I have hundreds of different species of spiders big and tiny. I don't like spiders either. LOL

Spiders are beautiful. Sounds like a bunch of you would therefore hate my favorite nature photo shots. Here's one that one me a blue ribbon at the Oley Fair last year. ("Proofed" because I'm paranoid about posting my original work on the internet for hackers to steal).

They are beautiful but I think the word heebeegeebees was made because of them.

I once stepped on a wolf spider in my basement and about 1 million tiny ones ran out from under my foot.

I never kill them outside, probably wouldn’t inside, but the wife is allergic to most things that bite or sting.

Thanks. Yeah, sounds like you have a couple choices. Another very popular tire I didn't bring up is the Michelin LTX M/S2

    https://m.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&tireModel=LTX+M/S2

    Or this one

    https://m.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&tireModel=LTX+A/T+2

These are definitely not cheap but people report extremely long lives with these. There are reports over 100k miles. I think the average is around 80k.

I really like my Yokohama's on my second set. First set lasted almost 5 years of gravel and dirt roads in Wyoming, fair share of rock climbing up on the mountains and several road trips from WY to PA.

Yokohama makes a great tire. The brand is well respected in the industry for sure.

The Geolander makes a lot of people happy.
