    Oh I meant where 2N17x ends (after you climb that big steep hill) and meets up with 2N17 fire road. But yeah the fork where 2N17X gatekeeper is on the left and the 2N17 fire road splits to the right is about a half mile or less from the staging area

    Been too long since I've put my truck in 4wd...going on 6 weeks. Longest I've gone I think in the 3 years I've had it.

    Same here, last time i put mine in 4wd was the superstition trip in January. Had a lot of stuff going on and i didnt want to risk a LBJ faliure on a trail.
