I had a front row seat to this sort of thing every day at my last job. The office was kitty corner to the trader joe’s/bed bath/nordy rack in SF, so every day right at about 430, there’d be a huge honking line of cars trying to get onto the 80 east, people thinking they’re better than others by merit of driving teslas cutting in and out, traffic coming from the freeway and throw in some pedestrians for good measure. Working at first and mission now, it’s not any better to be honest. The short blocks and people blocking the box constantly because they don’t wanna miss the light. I’m ready to find a new place where I can actually afford a home.

 

It’s SF. No need to do the job right. Just hire a meter maid and put them there for an hour to hold the (one) light green for 5 seconds longer. 80 is one giant cluster too. Poor design that they continue trying to keep updated.

 

This. The lady and I went camping the weekend after the 4th and the mess left at the site from the previous weekend was disgusting. Baby diapers, countless water bottle and beer bottle caps, trash from shitty fireworks, cigarette butts, etc. We spent the whole Sunday morning before we got on the road cleaning up. The first thing I said to her when we noticed the mess was that I bet it was Jeepers

 

Yeah, I wouldn't go that far and blame Jeepers. In this case no one else can get to that area but, I blame idiots, and those that let them do what they do. You'd think that by now everyone knows to keep it clean. Especially in an area that is so sensitive and gets so much activity.

 

The Jeep blame is just an East Coast thing for me. There's not as many places to wheel, not the same community for anything other than Jeeps, and not as many resources for anything besides Jeeps. So statistically, when you would see something like pollution on a trail not accessible to every vehicle, my first sense is to blame Jeeps. Not saying their all wrong, just saying that coming from the East Coast, that tends to be my experience. But again, we aren't on the East Coast.
I couldn't agree more with the comment about everyone knowing to keep areas clean and pollution free. It's ignorance to the obvious.

 

The people proposing solutions clearly have no idea what they’re talking about. Caltrain solves nothing. Neither do express lanes-it’s a crock of shit.

This non-Taco dude and all his stuff was spotted yesterday in the "thank god I don't normally drive here at this hour" stop and stop and stop and stop traffic on 280 in Los Altos...



edit: Also, the silver Taco ahead of me's spare tire was so loose that I thought it was going to fall off.

 

I was pretty fuckin disgusted walking around camp last weekend. People def need to pack their doo-doo paper out!!

 

Unbelievable. I pack it all out. I use the dog poop bags you find at the park. I take the poo and the paper out.

I picked up all that shit while gagging. I carry disposable gloves in my rig. People can go suck a fat one......shit was riddled man.

 

Wish I could have gotten on one camping trip before the knee surgery. Scheduled for Thursday... 14 days of time off for now... and 6-9 months of rehab. Hopefully it heals enough I can at least drive to work quickly.

 

I noticed the same the week before. Upsetting to say the least. Thats my favorite site too

Its all good, I'll make one in the Spring, as long as the weather holds out. Gotta get fixed first before I can comfortably do any camping again any time soon!
