problem with both of those, is with the 3rd gens, in the fitting 35s thread, it specifially states not to buy boxed uppers, because of rubbing when they are adjusted. I guess the clearance isn't there on the inside of the hoop.

Which sucks, because the baja kits actually had my eye, but i dont want to do glass for a mid travel set up. I also specifically picked the wheels so to limit cutting. So right now, Im wondering if the LR or the JBA are better overall. Ive seen the ball joints inside the ICONS, and honestly, they arent impressive like the SPC, or Moog. But ive never seen tc or JBA bj

Are those ever going to be actually released? Because I have heard people having issues getting taco boxes for at least since they were announced. How many people do you know who have the taco box?

I think the problem with the taco box was sourcing American made billet housings for it. I have to admire a company that would rather not sell a product than sell out to china. MC has been around a long time. I'm patiently waiting for the release. I'm sure he is getting all the bugs worked out like fitting every brand of coilover Etc. I imagine he is also working on getting the cost down. From my calculations this kit is going to be in the neighborhood of 12k$ which is a shit ton of money. If it puts solid axle performance into the hands of the novice fabricator it will be worth it. I am a stickler for doing things myself unless it makes damn good sense to have a pro do it.

    Just my 2 cents

Is that 12k with the steering rack, shocks and rclt lower/ upper?

I believe on the MC forum he is doing like 5 stages or something. I know he recently tested it on a 4 runner out at KOH.

Plus the long travel RCV CV axles and spindles. I hope its lower but that's what I'm expecting. I think the axles are around 3k$. So I figure around 6k for the kit, 3k for axles, 1.5k in shocks, 1.5k in steering. It's just a estimate.

Ordered High Castor JBA UCA's. I couldn't get an answer from anyone if they worked with 35s ( clearance is my concern) , so guess we will see if they work for my application.

Is your concern about clearance between uca and the tire or the tire and can mount? The tire should clear the uca with the offset of your f5’s. But will not clear the cab mount

5.29 installed. Let me tell you. This thing walks up hills. Its 100 percent better than any mod I've ever done to this truck. And I'm still in the break in period. Night and day. The gears make this truck what it should be. Anybody who reads this post, please, do yourself a favor, and re gear. Absolutely awesome.
