    Want to look at them and decide what material to order for my bed bars. I think square stock would be fine, but also interested in maybe using rectangular tubing. Like some 2" x 1". :notsure:

    Kind of hesitant to start those before I have the Softopper. Thinking it might be best to know exactly what I'm working around. In the meantime, I'll just watch all 9 million Softopper reviews on youtube. It appears the side bed rails that the Softopper snaps down to are just 1"x1" aluminum square. Wondering if I could just take and grind a slot in the bottom of them, so the thickness of the angle iron that my bed bars will be built off of, will slide right inside of them? I have no intention of putting an RTT or any kind of weight on these bars, just kayaks.
