Try being a later second gen 12-15 where theres even less bumper options. Apparently some companies felt it unnecessary to continue their bumper line for second gens past 2011...

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
All this hitch hammock stuff. Makes me wanna get this...I have shared it with the group before.
Just not sure I will use it as much as a couple trees...or it could be one of those things I use all the time.
I like how compact it gets.

I really do think that thing is super cool, but I too struggle with thinking how much it would get used. The price tag makes it real easy to make my decision though.

It's a slick idea, but not something I would use very often. Guess I will have to stay close to the trees.

I completely agree now that I'm a noob welder I could make me one if I wanted another one for more than half of the price! but I really didnt even use mine at all since I would use my tailgate for cooking soo :notsure:

Others have pretty well covered this and I agree with the consensus with one slight alteration.

887 Springs and Dakar leaf pack with current shocks.

    Yes
Why do you suggest the 887, it has a significantly lower sprint rate than the 886

    Yes, but its taller.

I've been told that 886 with anything less than a full steel bumper and winch with steel cable will feel too stiff. Of course, "too stiff" is subjective.

Assuming you have 885 springs now, the 887 should provide the same feel as you had pre-bumper while providing the same height improvement as the 886. It's my understanding that the 887 was designed as a result of customer complaints that the 886 was too stiff by people who had to go with the 886 after adding weight up front where the 885 could not support.

Hopefully that made sense. In short, 886 and 887 should yield the same height improvement but the887 is a softer ride.

Alright gents. I need to know who to use for an alignment. I finally got the TRD Pro kit, Icon RXT Leafs, SPC UCAs, full poly bushings and new LBJs installed this last week. Getting new rubber next week and will need an alignment.

Can anyone recommend someone that can and will align it correctly and can follow the directions for the SPC UCAs?

I asked AAC garage (specializes in modified Toyotas) who they use for alignments and they sent me to Fast Lane Imports. This is my recommendation. I'm please with my results. I'm lifted about 2.5 inches on stock UCA and they got my numbers pretty solid and I'm pretty pleased with how it drives. If I ever get UCA I'll be going back to them.

What did they charge for your alignment?

This was a year ago so I don't remember exactly, but I want to say it was around $100. I didn't trust the average tech at NTB to get me good numbers with stock UCA's. Right after I got it aligned, I had to replace a bend center pin on my rear leaf spring. After I squared the rear back up, my alignment was off again b/c of that. It had been about a month after I got it aligned and I called them up and they told me to come back in and they got me squared away again at no charge.

If you want get the lifetime alignment from Firestone/Tires Plus and then keep taking it to them until they get it right. Or try a few other stores out until you get a tech who knows what the hell they are doing.

I'd rather just get it done right the first time. I haven't had my truck aligned in over 7 years anyways, so a lifetime alignment by a tech that doesn't know what they are doing is kind of what I'm trying to avoid.

Thanks again for all those interested/pushing the sale of my mtn bike. It went to a new home this am, the new owner was pumped and that lead way to this little jammer coming home.

Woohoo! Who’s is up for some downhill sessions. Rolling out in the am!

NICE! Honestly I've never mtn biked in my life! I use to do fixed gear crits back in Texas and that's about all the cycling I use to do, one gear that's all i need baby :benchpress:
