That was up by the shoulder. Rotated the core 180 degrees. Pull the two wooded dowels, top section comes off, can rotate to four different sides, or just flip it like I did.

Went and checked the trap the last two afternoons and the sardines hadn’t been eaten. Pulled the camera card and no raccoons on it so I took the trap out. Hopefully they figured out what was happening and won’t run the deer off anymore.

Helped my buddy put his tower blind up, still need to level it and anchor it down. Then I went to my property to put 320# of urea on food plots. Recent rains have really made the food plots take off and the urea should really give them a kick in the ass.99873ED2-6693-4CFA-A7D3-F926ABEEA2BD.jpg

I've never hunted out of a blind out in the open like this. Do deer get use to it and come in close? Like bowhunting close?

From what I’ve seen it becomes a part of their environment just like an abandoned tractor etc. So they get used to it and have no idea there is a person inside of your scent isn’t detected.

That's kinda what I figured. I've only seen it on tv shows...which doesn't mean much.

So guys... This year and the next two years of hunting are gonna be pretty unpredictable. I may only get to hunt a handful of times each fall unfortunately.

I am now in PA school (starting my 2nd semester on Monday) and this is main priority for sure. I will try and get out each chance I get but this program is soooo intense and I have to keep my focus on the material to succeed.

Once I finish this program I will definitely have the financial means to buy my own land or lease properties that I can manage and really hone in on big bucks and long-term herd improvement.

This is gonna be a rough ride and missing out on hunting is gonna drive me insane, but sometimes you have to do adult shit to get your future secured. So that’s what I am doing and I will keep up with you guys on here with any success I may have and I look forward to seeing some great pics from everyone. Keep me motivated while I’m in the trenches of school! Lol!

My daughter in-law is a PA, it’s a very good profession to be in and she’s building a big clientele fast.

Good for you, put your career before hunting and when it’s all said and done you’ll be so glad you did. Stay focused and best of luck!
