Maybe slightly, just wanted to do something different! I built a set for my ‘11 wrx back when I had it so I figured I’d give these a go.

Hey @no vtec 4me i bought the BHLM with switchback Halo’s, kind of regret not getting a better bulb.

Any recommendations for something with a brighter output I could swap into it?

    :)

Not my first recommendation in stock housings, but plenty of guys run hid kits and are happy with them. Morimoto makes a nice led bulb you could run also.

A better bulb? Did yours not come with any? These things are bright.

Can y’all help me troubleshoot for a moment...

Blacked out headlight mod with retrofit projector lenses 5500 with white halos

retrofit set with rx350 projectors and morimoto hid kit

Went fishing this morning and my low beams didn’t come on. My truck has sat a lot this summer so haven’t driven especially at night so I don’t know how long they haven’t worked. But after about 15 minutes they powered on and worked great. Halos working, high beams working, turns, switchback turns... I believe everything but low beams.

What should I check... just tried to turn on low beams again and nothing

Oem switch connector was loose—- I can never get it to click when trying to connect so used a zip tie to pull it together. Works fine right now but I am nowhere near strong enough to get that connector to click and lock in-

Did you just do the standard BHLM with switchback halos?

I forget that people get the BHLM without the retrofit.

Did you use the adapter from the relay to the OEM low beam plug? Should be Relay > adapter > OEM low beam. The relay to OEM low beam plug look very similar but they are not the same size ( Will not snap in). I had issues where they were coming loose going to relay to oem plug. I ended up breaking the relay side of the plug trying to get it to stay in, before i realized there was an adapter lol. I got a replacement connector housing but that still wouldn't stay. I had to rig it up similar to you in the end and if it comes loose again I'm just going to cut the wires and go with spade connectors.

I know it's a shot in the very black dark, but....wouldn't have a set of plain SR5 (non LED drl) lights just sitting around would ya? I know you usually don't stock lower trims but figured I'd ask incase a miracle happened. ha ha

Great question.... I am not sure. Any chance you know what they look like- I don’t believe I have the adaptor app

That's the best picture I have atm. I can get a better one from the truck in the morning if needed. It plugs the tagged "OEM" connector from the relay to the OEM low beam plug from the truck. The relay to OEM are not the same size so they will not snap or stay in. So you need to adapter to fit correctly.

It's just a short maybe 6 inch cord. With 1 Male end and one female end. Orginally I think I used it to hook up my driver side ballast becasue I didnt know what it was for lol.
