    Just your normal top/bottom rig with peelers, bloodworm, squid, or shrimp will do. Like @RobP62 said, flounder is what most people go for in the bay. I believe you can surf fish in OC after the lifeguards are done for the day.

    I fished last night. Lots of bait. Lots of bit off tails. Toothy fish would only go after plastics. They wouldn't touch metal. Slow night. But hey, at least I was out there. I've been chasing bull reds for a week now with no luck.

    I can't remember the last time I fished. Only thing I caught that day fishing off the 4th street dock in OC was rocks. And not the fish variety. :angrygirl:
