Upper radiator hose leak

    now I am totally confused, I had the local indie ToyoTech take a look (he left the dealer a few years ago to start his own Toyota Lexus only shap to combat the weird practices going on)

    he told me the hose is most likely ok as Toyota hoses seldom go bad in his experience

    and that it is probably just the factory spring clamps that have worn out :notsure:

    You’re complicating this much. It’s very simple. Buy new hoses and clamps. Install them. Move on with your life.

    that is the simple and straightforward solution!
    its basically just a distraction from the very real complicated matters that seem to drag on and on and on anymore

    There could be a crack in the radiator plastic where the hose connects, but most likely just an old hose.

    I'm not sure how they totally flushed out the coolant without removing the thermostat. Sounds like they just drained and refilled. And it's better to just replace the thermostat whenever you do a regular coolant change.
