my drivers side light is staying on when I turn the truck off. They’re HIDs with the igniter harness wired to the battery. If I turn the headlights on and off it’ll eventually turn off. But I just came back to the truck and noticed it on not sure if it stayed in through the day or turned it’s self off

Probably an issue with the installation of the wiring harness, could it be that the HID is accidentally wired straight to the battery ?

I pulled mine out. Had issues with using the "auto" setting on the headlights, then used relays and had the same problem (failure to ignite, inconsistent), finally wired to battery and had them stay on and randomly fail to ignite. Apparently the Tacoma has some electrical oddities that don't play well with a lot of things, even had a headlight assembly replaced due to a burned out DRL. Service writer said he has seen a bunch of electrical issues. Sprung for the Phillips and wasted a lot of money lol. Hopefully can put them in my Camry.

Happy I didn’t get the Philip bulbs at this point lol. But this is the first problem I’ve had with them in about 8 months of having them on. Of course both of them are on now

Yep, not sure what the problem was. If I turned the stalk switch to "DRL OFF" before I started the truck and then put it in "AUTO" mode after letting the truck idle for about 30 seconds then everything worked fine if the headlights had to turn on automatically. BUT!! If I started the truck in "AUTO" mode and drove it until dark then one side would not ignite when it got dark. I had to pull over, cut off the truck, open the door (yep...wtf...), put the headlights in "DRL OFF" mode and restart the truck after the door was closed (yep...wtf...). After I let it idle for a little bit I could turn on the headlights, even in auto mode, and they both worked fine. I put them on relays per the suggestion of XD with the same result. After asking on some car audio forums it was suggested that the supplied 12v was inadequate and I should wire hot to the battery, ended up with residual current keeping the lights on like you are describing. They are sitting in a box in my closet with less than 10 hours on them if anybody wants them.
