Thanks, that was my assumption. I didnt want to cut either, cutting through the weld, which is sealed, seemed like it would introduce a chance of a leak later on, as well as rust.

For those on the west coast 88 rotors offroad does them, cuts the weld flattens it down, then rewelds it. There cmc are some of the best ive seen.

Hope this is useful to somebody.
I had chance to go wheeling and noticed one more small rub when turning with the tires stuffed. Cutting off the bottom of the fender flare took care of the problem. Here is what I cut off. I cut around the 2 mounting bolts so the flare is still very secure.

It looks pretty good. You really wouldn't notice unless you were looking for it.
    20190819_122442.jpg
I also got the SSO high clearance kit installed so not even close to rubbing in front anymore.

Anybody try this tire yet? Its a tall skinny "35" 275-80r17. In all my research I never saw this tire before getting my 315s.

They used to be popular, I know some people that still run them. They're good for off roading, but a little heavy and hard. Not so good in the wet.

Hard as in stiff sidewall? Or hard rubber compound? They claim to be D load rating but they are 3195 max load so thats as much as some E's.

Supposedly mine are going to be delivered on Thursday. I don’t think the 275/80/17 Goodyear MTR has been around too long. The earliest posts showing the in the Wild started in May of this year.

What letter setting is everyone running their SPC control arms? From another thread I read setting to ‘E’ provides the most clearance when the camber/caster bolts on the LCA are as forward as possible. Can anyone confirm?

Well after a lot of work this weekend (body mount relocate kit, fender trimming, snorkel install) I just got em mounted!

I messed up cutting the stock flares so I'll either order a new set and recut or maybe order some Bushwackers and cut those....either way it sucks

How hard was it to work around the wire harness that rides on top of the stock body mount on the driver side? I'm worried that a plasma or welding around that area will melt some important wires.

I undid the front body mounts...jacked the body off the frame a couple inches and tucked the harness back...takes 10 mins...very easy. If not for that it would definitely be in the way

Good to know that it can be moved out of the way for chopping and welding. I'm planning on a red goat fab mount at some point in the near future.
