What’s she worth? 416k???

01’ ext cab base 4cyl 2.3L 5spd 4x4 416233 miles

Posting for a friend. North New Jersey. She’s at the end of caring for her 1stgen and on to looking at new runners. ONE ONWNER!!!! Well loved with a new frame courtesy of Toyota.

The bad: alternator belt just shredded. O2 censor is out. Valve cover is leaking and needs a drive shaft bearing. Passenger front fender and door are kinked. No E-break.

The good: New frame. New breaks. New exhaust from cat back. New tires. New power steering. New clutch.

 

Original trans & motor?

Need better pictures of the rust. Rockers and doors have cancer. Anyplace else?

 

Original motor and trans. Lower doors and rockers just starting to rust. Don’t have any more pictures at this time. Never crawled underneath it.

I sold my 1998 5-Lug v6 for $1,100. It had 442,000 miles on it.

Also, that truck will have the 2.7l 3RZ-FE. Only the base model 5-lugs had the 2.4l 2RZ-FE. The new frame make it valuable. I’d say at least $2,000-$3,000. Price is very dependent on state.

 

It is worth what some one might pay.

Just how many miles ago was the frame done or how many winters ago ??

Something like that needs a good up close and in person inspection .

I agree, might be a different story if not for rocker-rust and door/fender damage. Of course the interior condition will make a difference as well and we are not seeing it.

No. Just starting to have rust show.

They rust from inside out, and that's not an easy spot to correct.

She should consider finding a teen who is handy with tools, working and doing their best in school that's in need of transportation and give them a 'hand up'. It's a good vehicle for that.

The way i see it, OP has an old truck with all the miles in it. A new frame is nice. It will be the prettiest one in the scrap yard. Most people would see it as a $1000 vehicle, expecting the drive train to be on its last legs due to mileage, a little less since it also had mechanical issues.

I like tacos, but it's closing in on 500k, if I bought it im going to factor in 2-4k in a new engine, transmission etc, doing the work myself. With low mileage and without ther dents it's a 2-4k truck.

For me that means I need the truck as a gift to even possibly be worth my time, and then only if I'm looking for either a project, or I need a doner frame.

Put it on for 1500 and expect offers in the 800 range. You might get someone with the "toyotas never die" mindset that will go higher.

I can understand Truck will not pass inspection one gets to the limit of spending money .

How does it have new brakes yet the parking brake does not work?

Being in North Jersey that mileage $1000.00 truck
