i went to local dealer to diagnose coolant leak, they had just did the coolant exchange service 2 months ago and already it is leaking

they told me the upper radiator hose needed to be new, it looks ok to me? how can you tell a hose is bad? Toyota hoses last a really long long time i hear
and then told me the charge for them to do it
$280 ... i said damn that is rich dick!
an amateur like me can do that for a few pennies less i would think
:bananadead: i will keep an eye on it, its probably the original hose clamps that are not as tight as they once were
    but i really don't know!
i should probably get some new hose and clamps to take with on camping trip to northern WI next month just in case
    some coolant also
how much coolant will be lost taking the upper hose off?
where is best place to get a bottle of new toyota coolant? probably not the dealer where its over $50 gallon!

I own one already, but I have the Consumer model. $220 is a killer deal for the Commercial model.

Nice. On the wish list. Looks like we have the similar media blasters.

That thing barely works. You need a really really decent air compressor to run it. It’ll only run for a few seconds before running out of air.

WOW.. And that's draining your 60 gal tank? I haven't tried to use mine but only once with some nut shells.. I do need to try it with the smallest tip. I keep using the old cheap plastic suitcase model that I bought at HF like 10 years ago.

It drains my 60 gallon tank in a few seconds. Sandblasting uses a significant amount of air and requires a considerable amount of CFM’s.

The Commercial model is slightly bigger, built better, has a wider track width, has an hour meter, and has larger holding tanks.

I’m sandblasting horns today, I’m about to go rent a towable compressor. Today is my last day of Summer, I officially move back to SF tomorrow.
