Pretty bummed today fellas. Sitting at work, which is bad enough. But I'm also having to come to terms with the reality that I may be out $700, due in part to my own stupidity.

My new 1upUSA rack was scheduled to deliver yesterday. At 2:47pm the confirmation showed the driver left it at my front door. You can imagine my elation :dancingbacon: Well my wife gets home at around 3:30pm and there is no rack. Elation immediately deflated :censored::censored::censored: I'm an asshat because I didn't select/pay for signature delivery confirmation.

    Step 1:
Naturally I checked with my neighbors to see if the package was mis-delivered. No luck. Well, I am still skeptical of the house directly across from me, but thats another story. After step 2, I even drove around my whole neighborhood looking sketch myself as I slowly drove by staring at each house intently.

    Step 2:
Called Fed-Ex to start an investigation and called 1up to get it on their radar and ask for any input.

    Step 3 (current):
Wait. Get pissed at myself and everyone around me. Brainstorm all the ill fate I'd wish upon the person/s that potentially stole my shit. Drink a couple adult beverages. Sleep. Wait. Continue being pissed at myself and less so at others, while still daydreaming of the bad karma to hopefully be inflicted on any/all theives. Rant on TW about my woes. Wait....Attempt to be productive at work

Theres still a small part of me that wants to believe that the FedEx investigation will uncover that they made some sort of error and my rack will be delivered. The realist in me is trying to get prepared for another taste of the fact that humanity has gone to shit and theres some dirt bag out there that just swipped my rack from the front door in a 45min window of opportunity.

Damn that sucks. I’ve been thinking about getting a camera system for my place. Been lucky over the years without and trusting my neighbors. Had tires and other big items delivered and just sit there until I got home. I’ve had drivers mark that it was delivered just to “appear” they got all the deliveries done and then it showed up the next day.

Damn man! I hope it’s just a shipping mistake and they get it to you. That’s so fucked if someone stole it...

Yup. Hoping for the best, but I have a feeling it’ll result in another example of how much people suck.

Let FedEx do their thing. I've had a similar thing happed, and it worked out. Your homeowners insurance might be able to help you out as well, as long as your deductible is reasonable.
Thanks for sharing your experience though, as a good reminder to us all to get signature confirmation for valuable deliveries.

That totally sucks, doesn't help you today but with both Fedex and UPS you can ask that the package is held at the local depot for pickup. Here's hoping it was just mismarked as delivered and it shows up.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
After much deliberation, a new demo has come home with me just now.
Decided on the Bronson S Build over the MegaTower R Build. (Saving over 1k helped make the decision too).
The MegaTower felt great, the Bronson did as well. At the end of the day, I could tell the Bronson would be more flickable in my riding style.
I will go back in awhile after some time on the Bronson and demo the MegaTower.

I had an awesome experience at FreeFlight bikes in Atlanta Ga. I had no problems with picking up a slightly used demo from them.

The main difference I felt was the steering at low low speeds. I felt as though I just had more control of the Bronson. It was tough for me, as I a 29er before this and most definitely have felt the benefits of a larger tire.

Congrats did you test the new HighTower or Pivot’s(I’d probably go with the Firebird 29 if buying today) or new specialized enduro?

I saw this truck at the Oak Mesa parking lot in La Verne while mountain biking this morning... Wondering if he's a mountain biker, and if he's on here at all.

Also posted to the Spotted thread.

I rode several bikes. I have had my heart set on this bike for awhile. Once they dropped the suspension placement, I was game! I will say that I don’t change out bikes as much as others, and I was blown away by the array of models.
My buddy just picked up a new Evil and it was impressive for sure.
Was a tough decision for me regarding the 29 or 27.5, but as a buddy told me. Ah F it, just got out and ride the thing and enjoy it. I tell the same thing to those waffling over dirtbike decisions.

Your buddy with the evil in ATL? If they’re anywhere near my size I’d love to swap bikes for a few runs if they’re open to it. The evil following was the direction I was going before I picked up what I did.

He is indeed, however he is taller than me so I doubt it will fit you.

    Major grip and feel upgrade.
    Fox 36 factory
Dirtlabs custom tuned RS super deluxe
Assegai max grip double down 2.5
Aggressor max terra double down 2.5
    Cushcore lite
    Revgrips pro

Still dialing this setup in. Bike is riding considerably different. Definitely less snap (added almost a full pound to each wheel), but still pedals well. I just need to get in better shape.
I’ll probably drop the Cushcore from the front wheel though. I was riding exo+ for a bit, but kept getting pinch flats. Hence the beefier tire setup.
Absolutely smashes technical, steep, loose, nasty terrain. Unreal how much more planted it feels. No more pinging off stuff, you can still feel everything but it stays on line.

Both the new 20 Hightower and Enduro have dropped the rear suspension. I wonder if the feel the same or different?
