    Update!

I'm having Ryan rewire the ECU back to stock without the piggyback to see if it might just be a signaling issue. If that doesn't turn out well then engine swap here I come!

There is a video of the engine running, they also sent clean carfax records! I just finished putting a down payment on everything so it's looking like she is mine ladies and gents! Engine and all accessories, as well as the TRD headers and rest of the exhaust system for $3200! Shipping wasn't as bad as I thought either! Found a company that's gonna ship it for 138 bucks fully insured. Ryan also gave me an out the door quote of $2500 for the install on everything. I plan to have everything reverted back to stock while I decide if I want to keep and rebuild the sc or sell it to recoup some of the money spent on swapping this thing. That puts me at $5900 total.

Thanks again for all the help gents!

Hard to say w/o knowing your truck’s condition, but pricey oem parts like door handles are nice to have on hand.

Those buckets seats would probably be great for someone and would fit right in without having to worry about the 4th leg like the 4 runners seats.
    Probably a direct bolt in.

I had to replace a lock cylinder and lost one of the plastic clips somehow and they are ridiculously expensive. It would be nice to have a couple just for parts if they’re cheap!

Good save finding a second block, to hell with paying 9K for a rebuild. I pulled one out of a wrecked 4runner for 300. currently another 500$ into the rebuild on it. I hear you may be selling the SC, OP? :spending:

Yes, indeed I did! Picked the ol girl up a few weeks ago and she runs like a dream! I have also had a stupid amount of interest on the SC but am still highly on the fence about keeping it or not.

Did you decide to keep the exhaust and headers?
I have a double cab and interested in the exhaust portion of the set up.

Yeah, my cats were clogged to hell and the thorleys I had ended up being rusted out pretty badly so I decided to snag the headers and exhaust too as they were a steal.

If you haven't installed them yet could you get a few pictures of the connection between the cat and down pipe?
I picked up some trd headers and it looks like they all have a 2 bolt flange where all the stock tacoma's have a 3 hole flange. Trying to figure out how to join the 2.

Glad it all worked out, as I said you will be a happy camper once it’s all done.
There is a night and day difference with that supercharger.

Rebuild it if you can and put it back on even if you run just the stock pulley

Yeah, I can definitely feel an insane difference without it. I think ill hit up Magnuson tomorrow and see what they have to say. I think I would want to opt for something other than the 7th injector though.

if youre keeping it and dont want the seventh upgrading injector size would be equivalent. It wouldnt be added effort since it isnt on the block yet too. I remember reading somewhere you can use Supra injectors to up the volume. The 7th is nice though for cooling/sealing argument holds both ways for whats best.

Im really interested in the meth injection route that @1997tacomav6 has on his truck. I don't believe its cali legal BUT it doesn't seem to difficult to conceal...
