The Hummer is just a GM 6.2 liter diesel that's been around forever. I think they changed to a bigger GM diesel when up-armoring starting happening. The 6.2 is a great engine and parts are readily available. I believe there's very little difference in the Hummer version and the civilian version. I came super close to buying a refurbished military version a few months ago. I don't know how he's going to daily that. I didn't watch the whole thing, but I'll assume it's a civilian version, so there's some insulation, etc in it. I would stab my eyeballs out with a spork if I had to daily the military version. It's loud as hell at cruising speed, and then the fan clutch kicks in and scares the piss out of you. And that's jut for starters.

If you watched you’d see it’s got a duramax in and an Allison tranny. 450hp 900 ft lb torque. And it is the civilian version, with other nice upgrades.

:anonymous: Okay. That's impressive. Forty minutes is a long time! Ain't nobody got time for that!

Oh. And the way he says "because" drives me crazy. Just saying.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
Were you driving in D? When you have a LOT of weight it is not recommended to let it go into 6th. 6th is a 2nd Over Drive, and there is a thread in the 3rd Gen section where a guy posted up some pics of a spent gear from towing in 6th. I'll see if I can find it.

EDIT:... Can't find it. But it's there somewhere...

I watched it because I feared the derision of Randy. It would've been impossible to enjoy the rest of my day. I am very impressed. That thing is super nice. That is one I would daily. Especially if I was allowed to drive over cars.

It’s not too bad if you start from the top of 33. It’s mostly flat, but most of the GWNF north of Harrisonburg is rocky haha

Believe so. I have used that photo for years. It reflects my personality...alert and observing in the background.

If I’m correct, this is a walking trail only to the tower. I could be wrong, but wanted to drive it my self a few years ago.

So, as pathetic as I can be..... I have not been to it yet.

Did yard work today, and it feels good, but a small part of me is pissed because those neighbors probably see me doing it and think they “won”.

P.S. are you going to edge your driveway? If not, what's your landlord's phone number?
