Well a few weeks ago I quit my job as a ford tech In westchester ny to travel the country for a few months with the girlfriend and beloved dog in my 09 taco. She also quit her job as a lawyer in one of them fancy law firms in Manhattan. Our first stop was Tennessee and we were planning on heading west from there but a death in the family rerouted is back to ny so we made the best of it and did some camping and wheeling in VA and PA. After we tie up our affairs in ny we are headed west to see the country. Hoping we can convince some members to take us on some wheeling/camping trips. I’ll update the thread as we make our way through the country. Suggestions for things to see, places to wheel and camp are more than welcome. This trip is also doubling as a mission to find a new place to live, can’t handle ny for another minute.
Also our Instagram has more pics.. @intentstagram

A lawyer dating a Ford tech...good for you and I mean that in all seriousness, not putting you down at all (have a college degree but a blue collar guy myself). That just would never happen here in socal

I moved from PA to Vegas a few years ago. There is much to see and plenty of public land to explore.

The pass is definitely worth it. Everyone I've gone to is more impressive in person than any picture I've seen.

Hey Mark. I’ve been following along. I know it’s out of the way but you should drive north to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan. Go to Whitefish Point, Pictured Rocks and Copper Harbor. From there you can come down through Wisconsin.

Nice. There’s a bunch of national and state forest land up there that you can camp on. And tons of logging roads ect to explore, most of which you can camp along without being bothered. Shot me a PM and I’ll send you a couple nice spots to camp along Lake Superior.

I would love to do what you are doing, that's fucking great man. For most people, especially after having kids, it can't happen until they are all out of the house. Enjoy every minute of it!

If coming through Utah, hit Moab for the trails and unique scenery. Also Zion's and Bryce Canyon are a must see, no trails for the Taco but a lot of good hiking.

I can’t wait to get to Utah! I’m planning on spending a good couple weeks in Moab. Thanks for the suggestion! Def need to do some hiking so I don’t get fat, also the dog loves it.

I lived in White Plains NY for a year, but I was about 5-6 years old. Not at all the city
