Just installed mine, I'll play with it more tomorrow but so far I like it, downsides so far to me are..

    - need to have data on the unit to be online (duh) and I dont pay for hotspot data

    - oem usb cable came with my kit, but unfortunately the oem usb that this unit connects to isnt a fast charging port, I'll have to rely on my cigarette lighter adapter for fast charge

Unless you guys know of fixes for these?

You can replace the 12 volt/cigarette lighter piece with a quick charging dual USB port very easily, the power supplied to it charges my phone really quickly.

This is regardless of whether or not someone is installing a new head unit. There may be a more elegant way using HU integrated USB ports but replacing the cig lighter has worked well for me and it's super easy.

Yes via XM app, needs the CarPlay dongle to achieve this also but that’s how I get it on mine

Read in the XDA forum about volume issues between phone calls and music. Have you seen that?

Measurements, now these are approximate: top and left and right are 1/16” from where the trim piece is on the bezel and where the trim bends towards the air vents respectively. The bottom is 1/8” so it’s not perfectly centered. Hoope this helps you get it in the correct orientation the dash. Good luck

That's good to hear. I just placed my order via ebay. Took the same route you did and got virtually the same price. Here's hoping my install goes as well.

I have a regular OR with the non JBL head unit. Do I need the bezel adapter? Also will my front camera mod still work?

Your bezel will work. I don't have the dasaita head unit. If it has two video inputs (most do) it will.

A little bit of this, a little bit of that...
Any cyber-security concerns with these "connected" appliances? I know I won't be doing any bank or sensitive transactions through the HU, but it does connect to our phones. (Just sayin')...

Just don't use it for banking or any sensitive stuff. There are lots of connections to China for sure.

I only said in-jest, but a concern for sure. Android has its security vulnerabilities and i'm willing to bet these Chinese company's programmers have the know-how to exploit them.
Without a doubt, no sensitive activities of any kind.
