Probably goes without saying but, no racing, tire smoke, or any loud noises, oh and drive “normal”. Just all around don’t be a dick.

Stuff like this will get you stopped

not true, if they want they could get anyone for tampering with "federal emissions". so anyone anywhere that has removed the second cats could get a fine.

This is true nation wide. And backing up my couch comment, there are pickup trucks with Baja plates (Mexico registration) that drive all over here in SoCal loaded to the max. Like you couldn't put another toothpick in or on it without it falling over. Have never seen one pulled over.

in Catalina island, ca you can legally register a golf cart there. the only place in california that you can do that. its due to the small size.
yes they do! my dual resinator failed inspection. because the 2 of the 4 cats were missing. lol

Impossible to memorize what every single car from every make came with from the factory

A few weeks ago there was a cop stopped behind me, I was stopped at a red light so not like I was doing anything stupid. Then all of a sudden some lyft driver in a Prius just blows through the light in the other lane. Cop does nothing. So I roll down my window and gesture to the cop “wtf man” while pointing at the car. Still does nothing.

Bottom line is....so what it seems. Is these laws now pretty much give the cops the ability to have probable cause to do what they want....

No it is not doing a thing. I have a dingus next door neighbor who drives a riced out shit box 03-04 Accord V6 with exhaust that will likely back fire flames on command. He doesn't get pulled over for that crap though I should start calling the cops on him more just on the basic premise that he is a jackass.

There is a lot of truth to this actually. :D

Stuff like that will actually not get you stopped. I do it all the time in tunnels and whatnot just to hear the blower. It's speeding that they will bang you in the rear for. The younger you are, especially new drivers, the more you'll get pulled over for it.

    This right here.

They can but they'll usually get sent out the referee if they are missing cats.

    Yes they do.

They can and they will make a problem over anything if you give them a reason to hate you.

While it is impossible to memorize anything, they always know what goes on each car as the underhood label indicates every emissions control item equipped on a vehicle. Those without labels still get recorded and put into a giant reference book each smog station is required to have. Now when you start equipping stuff like a supercharger things get into gray areas.

Yeah you know, it's funny. As much as the cops claim to give a fuck out here they really do not.

My grandpa had a golf cart registered and street legal in San Clemente, CA. It was sketchy to drive on the street but it was 100% legal lol.

This. I got a thumbs up and was told I had a sweet truck last time I crossed into cali. Just need to be polite, pre-roll down your window, turn down the music and tell them to have a nice day. Then as soon as they let you in...

So is there a way of calculating what size intake tube you would need? You guys have a lot of off the shelf intakes but I don’t have that luxury. Need to get one made.

    Nice!
Found out today that the wife has known all along that all the parts for my truck are not required... she just turns a blind eye. I have found a keeper.

Got my 2.3 on today. Took me a little while to get the s/c snout trimmed down. Basically made mine flush with the outside of my quickchange hub.

Hit 11.5lbs with 91*f ambient temps
