11.5 - 11.6 sounds about right. You will peak out at about 12 on real max effort runs, but they are sort of far and few in between.

 

Lol thanks man, im pretty pleased with it. Picks up real quick now, goes into boost at like half throttle

Havent looked at the belt dust yet.. still running the 69.5 that i was with the 2.5. New belt will be here monday though.

can a 2.3 with a roush, jfr wrap and a 69.5 work @12TRDTacoma ? it's super tight now.

 

Yes it can. Hell I was running 2.3 with a JFR and a 69" belt.

Remove the JFR if you don't want it to be as tight.

 

What's the travel on the roush? When I set mine to around 80-90% the belt would snap almost immediately.

 

With gates Fleetrunner stuff you want the tensioner to be set to around 50% travel.

With the Gates RPM series, less than 30% travel. It allows the belt itself to maintain more tension on its own without the tensioner being so taught.

 

Well I certainly have done some good testing of the limits, I will tell you that. I find up to 70% works. Anecdotally. Not scientifically measured.

70 is too much though. Too much tension and too much wrap is a bad thing. On bearings, on the belt life, and on your brain as you boost around town worrying that your belt is going to go SNAP!

Of course I have you as my exhibitor of said statement above. Ahahaha.

I have no idea. I was as always rather hasty with my install. damn near ran it with the pulley backwards. really grateful @12TRDTacoma was able to answer a phone call. that's how the update on the roush an 50mm pulley came about. for anyone doing it feel free to pm me with questions.

what was the trim process to get that bad boy on?

 

well, she can't update the computer for hp tuner and cook all tied up. she's very understanding.

 

I used a dremel and two different types of sanding bits. Basically just went around little by little until it had enough room, then i went a little more. Get it about flush with the diameter of your quick change hub

 

did you have the quick change hub mounted as a visual for reference?
