I use a synthetic polymer grease from Omni Lubricants that mixes with lithium and petroleum based greases. I've been using it for many years with great results on ball joints and tie rod ends. I even use it on some lowered CV axle joints that typically last only 3 years. Its still going and the joints are smooth after 4 years.

I learned about it from some guys who use it to grease the bearings on their boat trailers that get submerged in salt water. I'm not planning on submerging the Taco in salt water anytime soon. But the grease would hold if it happened.

If you get it on your hands or clothes, look out. It is very hard to wash out.

It's whole again. Runs great but seems a little hard to start sometimes. Maybe just the ECU needing to learn the newly rebuilt injectors. Drove it over to the DIY car wash and gave it a quick bath then came home and put the tent back on the rack as I'm heading out the California for Labor Day weekend.

That's not anodizing it's bluing, it's just like what's on black sockets and it rusts badly if left in the elements.

I love the needle to grease things but man are they a pain to get off the gun sometimes.

The gun I use has an end tip that screws in and out. Check to see if you can loosen the tip by rotating it so it will open up for the grease needle socket.

You can see how the tip can be rotated and the three bits inside the end will open. Then once you get the grease needle inside, tighten it up.

My tip is the same way. Never even thought about loosening it. Thanks.

Long time that I don't visit this site, However about a month ago got a paint correction detailing which came out real good and today finally got the gloss back front grill and side markers installed, got rid off of that ugly OEM one ...

    01 counts too...

I just got a set of CAPA certified ones off Amazon. If you don’t buy CAPA certified you may as well get the cheapest you can find.

just rotated my tire a few days ago. this morning driving to get a coffee with my windows down i hear a loud scraping sound coming from what seems to be my rear driverside tire. the sound is intermittent, it makes a sound once per tire rotation. i figured a rock but this sound is more of a metal on metal sound. the only thing i can see is the weights used to balance are very close to my rear drum. i have 15" wheels so the tolerance is very tight.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Update: i got under the truck to check it out.

Oreilly’s sells two models, I bought the cheapest ones two years ago. Still clear, good deal.

Is that red cap on the drivers side for your washer fluid?
Did you clean your mass air sensor?

    Yes and yes.

Here's the link to the washer fluid reservoir I built.

Fridge is in! [IMG] This time I can actually use my ARB slide! Can open the fridge inside and outside the camper now. Also makes cleaning the fridge a whole lot easier! Also have another battery from the previous Flip-Pac owner and I'm thinking about mounting it behind the fridge on the slide. Everything clears just perfectly! No more fridge bouncing around the back of the truck! Also fridge vents right next to the window so hopefully that will help keep the heat and power usage down.

but i will also have to disobey the warnings at the pump to turn engine off
and how does one change the oil with engine still running!
what mess did i get myself into this time...

    DRL Delete

Alrighty guys, I’ve searched and found little more than confusion on this topic. I need help from the pros here. I have a 2003 that I want to delete my day time running lights. Anyone know exactly which wire to cut for sure? Anyone have access to the wiring schematic for the ‘03 DRL relay. This is what I have under the dash.
