Congrats...I just finished my PharmD degree. Invest in a small tablet and a pair of wireless head phones. Use the the tablet to take pictures of any handwritten notes and down load all other files. Record your lectures on your phone and listen to them in the stand with one ear bud. I was lucky in that my program recorded our entire lectures. Read a little and scan a little. No better place to study in my opinion than 20ft up in the air in the middle of nowhere.

Just got in from work and had this package in the mail. Can’t wait to try a shot Monday! Heard about these things so I thought I would give them a try?
I don’t know how much I’ll be in the woods here for season opening, kind of throwing all my eggs in to seeing my cousin in Oklahoma 1st week of October. He is throwing out the red carpet and building a blind and ranging the shot. Going to be a very difficult few weeks if he sends me a pic of a shooter in that spot!!

They were out of the free one where you pay $1.99 for shipping.

These were $44 and free shipping. The regular are $39 and free shipping. They also have 125gr, but I don’t need all that here in the east.

I've never heard of these. The only other one piece broadheads I've heard about are Montec.

Let us know how they work out for you.

I forget where I ran across them, but then looked them up on YouTube and saw them in some broadhead comparisons. I hope to get them broadhead tuned Monday. I had just adjusted for some muzzy’s but set the rest back where it was before to try these out after I ordered them..

Muzzy’s are fine. They are a workhorse.

These are having some really nice things being said about their accuracy though. Even hear they fly pretty darn good with only three fletchings on the shaft and don’t have to use four to match.

I was looking at some G5 expanding but I really want to maximize my chance out there. My first out of state hunt, and my cousin’s 8yr old stepson dropped a nice buck last year at 350yds during their rifle so I am trying to maximize my potential and not look stupid! Not going to blame it on any equipment failures!

Congrats to you also man! My program records lectures also which is convenient. I may try and do some studying in the woods once I get in a rhythm in this semester. We have 8 classes so once we get in a pattern of studying and stuff I’m sure I will find a little down time. Just seems pretty daunting at this point. Lol. Again, at the end of the day it will all be worth the sacrifice.

Thanks guys. I will be in here checking everyone’s pics and stuff out for sure. I am gonna try to focus on getting at least a doe or two if I can and anything other than that is a bonus.

On a side note, Virginia has made it even tougher for hunters this year anyway. We already can’t use natural scents since last year or so and now in many counties we can’t even put out corn or mineral blocks for pre-season trailcam purposes. We have to remove any “baits” by 9/1 anyway, but we can’t even get deer concentrated in an for pics now. Putting a can on a trail is definitely not as effective on checking deer numbers etc. Can’t do much about it but just needed to vent. Lol!

Been watching this one for a couple years. He only shows up during the rut and at night. Only laid my eyes on him once coming in from work. Hope nobody got him last December so I can possibly catch him in a mistake.
He didn’t get like that being stupid!

Turned out to be windy here. Threw one downrange at 20yds though. Was a little high right, adjusted the rest and got to about 1/2” with the fieldpoint and broadhead. But wind made me inconsistent. The arrows did seem to match the target better than the Muzzy’s I was shooting. With the Muzzy the arrows seemed to be slightly angled to one another where these seemed to be parallel on entry.
I don’t check speed or go high end here since I am in woody areas in NC and most shots are short range so I don’t have to get really technical.
My cousin is trying to get me set for 30-35yds in Oklahoma so I am not stretching my 3 pin site.

been looking at a couple options for spot stalk bow hunting, specifically bow holster. One is a hook for your belt the other is a sling of sorts. I may get the sling like this. from primos.[IMG]

Not sure how well it would work for SnS, but for spending time in a tree stand, they're awesome. I have one made by Neet Archery Products. Damn thing must be 25 years old.

Bought my Illinois tags yesterday, plus an extra doe tag cause a guy at work always wants a deer, cleaned out my hunting bag, sharpened knives, new flashlight batteries, yada, yada.
    Good luck to everyone!
