What's the meaning of life to you?

I can agree there, seen some pretty piss poor examples of humans masquerading as "fathers". Thankfully none in my immediate family

 

You can definitely be a man without having children though

Doing the right thing, yes, taking care of your family, being honest, I agree with Jeff (post #18) children don't make you a man, however taking care of your kids does! to me integrity isn't something, integrity is everything, We all learned at an early age right from wrong, sometimes we stumble, well, get up, brush yourself off and try again, we all have made mistakes, and that is all they are mistakes, not life sentences, my biggest fault has been the ability to forgive, i'm working on it!! jmop

I think next time I just name the thread "father's with strong convictions of being fathers and not necessarily proclaiming what defines a man".

 

Set the next generation of my family up for success so they have it better then me. Build health and wealth, and enjoy the shit out of it.

My children are grown and gone. Both got through college my job is done. Life is simply an existence now. I lost my job due to a work related injury the beginning of this year and now work for half as much. Everyday is just sleep, eat, shit, work, repeat. No money or time to travel or enjoy life so chin up and power on. 1 day at a time.
