    I used to ride with PHI to and from work, I think we talked about it at Jambo... but it seems like a decent gig, landing on the moving platforms and drill ships would have my adrenaline pumping! I couldn’t imagine being the pilot making those landings.

    EDIT: the commute sucks, that burns two days of your off time.

    Ya we probably did. My friend has been pushing me to go out there for a while. Landing on moving platform sounds fun. Couldn't tell you how many times I've wanted to make a low approach to a moving train car

    :rofl::anonymous::bananadead:

    That commute will suck...

    Gonna do some engine bay detailing on the red one! It's got aluminum dust everywhere in there from yesterday

    haha hell yes

    Did you ride in the big heli's or the smaller ones?

    Oh yea, that's always fun. Coat it all in wd40 so it's easier to clean next time. It'll make all the black plastic look new too. I even do a coat of used engine oil or wd40 on my bumpers and rims when I polish everything up.

    Just pulled up the application for the Gulf job. The company my friend works for would put me in Lafayette flying a Bell 407. 2 things I really like about that: 1) it's Lafayette, not Houma, Louisiana. 2) It's a freaking Bell 407. One of my favorite helicopters.

    [IMG]

    Guess I'll be getting my logbook up to date and submitting an application

    Just working on the application for now. Got some docs to upload and whatnot. Kinda hoping I get the job now that I know it's in a 407.

    Thank you sir! I know what you mean, when I was in the military if it hadn't been for the guys I worked with, it would have been a whole different experience for sure.

    Yea, no joke! The 407 is a bad mamma jamma. Beautiful and well built.
