question fellas- should I carefully cut my afe momentum intake pipe to enlarge it to my new 3.5" body? or trade someone for the regular afe like @mightytacoman has? I love the oversized filter flow but haven't committed to anything.....yet.

urd long tubes, modified jfr y-pipe, vibrant res, borla muffler, urd cat back chopped up. I'm used to really loud truck exhaust. and being immature I think it's cool.

im the same way lol. That's how my aFe catback is. Has a vibrant resonator, but it's incredibly loud, and pops and shoots flames out of it when closing the throttle. It's lots of fun, but the drone sucks on the hwy. It's literally so loud though that you can't hear the s/c whine. Wish it was a little quieter, but for the sake of performance, I can live with it

may have to do an axle dump chop when my rear mid travel suspension gets finaled next weekend.
man, 4:10's and 33" tires are perfect with a trutrac. trying to be gentle for break in but this thing accelerating is amazing.

4.10s are definitely fun. I'd imagine that's around the stock gear/tire ratio or a little bit taller with 33s right?

I've got 4.10s on stock sized tires and it is a lot of fun. Regear makes the truck feel much torquier

yes, correct for sure. it had stock gears and 35's when I bought it. the stock s/c just got it by. now it really goes!

noiko makes it. I think it was 36 sq ft. I used about 4 sq per door and the entire back wall. before winter I'll use the last of it in the floor in the back seat. should quiet the drone further. it's about a lb per foot. careful on the doors. mine are heavy now.

How much do your tires weigh each? I've noticed that heavy tires on these trucks is the biggest acceleration and braking performance killer

long story. I screwed up and bought e-load tires. my impatience got me as I mounted them instead of sending them back. 55 I think. I was told by another member I really should have these for snow. e-load can be aired down under 10 psi for maximum traction and not breaking beads. c-load is about 5lbs less

There are benefits to e-loads but yeah probably overkill for these trucks. I learned that lesson the hard way too lol. I have 295/70/17 cooper ST maxx on my other taco, and they weigh 66lbs each, also Load range E. The truck has 4.88s bc it's a 4cylinder, but damn those tires make the truck work hard to do everything

I run e load tires also. Puncture resistance and nail resistance is the biggest piece of mind for me. Ill take the acceleration hit they cause.
