I think swags are awesome. I haven’t had a chance to try out my new one yet but hopefully here before too much longer.

There’s a company in Australia that makes a cot swag, the only issue with it is wind because it’ll blow away. Well and cold because you have no insulation under you but that’s not a problem in Australia.

You can use an insulated sleeping pad should be fine, setting up under the awning and next to the car, breaks the wind:D

Yep. You could also get a hammock underquilt. Those actually work really well as you get a pocket of uncompressed insulation underneath

I was in south dakota camped in an RTT close to mount rushmore, was set up under tree cover and all, and then the wind picked up, it was mind boggling how the wind was smacking on the tent as if it was going to fly off at any moment (which wasnt really the case..). I cant imagine how bad it would be in an open area situation.

You gonna break Into my house, steal my tires and then sell them? o_O:duel:

This is my solution to every camping woe. Use a groundpad.

Dude the wind is SD is no joke.... Was up there a few years back in a mini Cooper :anonymous: And man I thought we were gonna get blown into Canada:canada:

    Yeah. South Dakota blows

I was also camping in NM a few weeks back and had 20+ mph for a while. Awesome spot but super exposed
