TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

I'm doing this gb assist to only help tw guys. I have no benefit whatsoever. I'm trying to get others a better price than I paid for a sweet product. that's it. I'm open to PM's and if we collective have some guys on this that would be sweet!

grateful. won't have to unless you do major long travel shocks. these are good to go for anyone.

 

The originals used to. Now if they add any lift it's like .25 of an inch if that. Hardly anything.

 

My banks exhaust was gonna be rubbing it. But to be fair, it never really fit right when I installed it since one of the pipes was the wrong length for my truck.

 

Curious as to how your exhaust exits before the hangers. Mine exited after which was the issue.

 

I have never had issues with mine. Good deep sound when coupled with the URD tail pipe.

 

currently my urd tail section is close but works fine.
I had a block lift when my exhaust was done last year. fortunately it's only clamped on in the event things change when my mid travel assembly is final next week.

 

it's not that urd has a bad y-pipe. but the jfr y-pipe is mathematically superior. it's a truly tuned part. it not only sounds great it performs great too.

 

if these were just plug and play would you consider yourself in on this?

 

No doubts there. I was just saying I have never experienced the rasp others have with the URD y pipe. Had the JFR y pior existed when I did my exhaust I would have gone that route for sure. But now that the URD is in there it is staying till it breaks or fails

 

I got the banks too.

 

I'll ask archive if there's an issue with a bank's tail section.

he is often correct and fast to get a laugh. rightly so.
he's done a lot of this the hard way. hell, he's owned gm cars on purpose.

 

I won't laugh. it's on my list of things to punish myself with.

 

Nah its bad, at least on my tacoma. It hits the trans crossmember reguardless of attempts to prevent it by @Torspd and myself. Plus the flanges are mild steel and the merge is of poor design in my professional opinion. Its a decent upgrade over stock but the jfr is the way to go. Maybe even the afe y pipe but I have no experience with it but I think its 2.5in o.d.
