no problem for a band saw.

Comes down to the length of your pieces .working up 48' tubing yourself is a pain

How many cuts you need to make. More then 25 my brain walks off thinking of more interesting things

Just where the work is being done . Shop or field makes a big difference at least to me.

If I could only have one saw it would be a deep cut band saw as in days past most of my prep work was in the field.

I have used Chop saws and Cold Cut Saws at times one does what you have to.

If I need many pieces 25 plus and had the lead time I would have the material supplier supply them .

Depends just how bad it is sometime a wire wheel will remove it.

sometimes those rust stripper discs .

Abrasive blasting if that is a option

I have had it so thick it needed to be ground off to even weld

Good thing you checked before reaching for the wallet.

Hard to cut if it does not fit in the saw`s vise.

I didn't like how far the spare tire sat on the swingout to the back of the truck so I cut an inch out of the mount. I also angled the top of the tire more towards the front. Looks a lot better now with the tire tucked closer to the vehicle IMO.

I like it, but fear that eventually the junction between the coupler younger and the frame will start to sag. That's got to be a massive amount of tongue weight.

I venture that is lighter then the diesel welders I tow.

I don`t think the tongue weight will be all that great

I doubt the interior is still in.

Two people could pick it up a carry it without the axle

Doubt it. It’s sleeved 2.5” .25 with 2” .120 . The whole things weighs absolutely nothing. If I flipped the hitch there would be less tongue weight for sure but I can move it around solo.

Probably close to just the weight from the B-pillars forward, the rear would counterbalance the weight from the axle to the B-pillar. Not a lot left.

Just picked up the front hitch I made from powdercoat. They primed it and painted it black.

Wanting to build something but not knowing the technical term of a part you need to buy.... PITA lol. Does anyone have any idea on what a slider/drawer/hinged system is called that slides out and at the end, down. Then back in. Like a mini retractable ramp. Only need it to be like 6” wide max. Wanting to build a little fixture for my bicycle to load onto a rack and struggling lol.
