For those not on FB, North Georgia Overlanders is doing a Big Frog Loop trail cleanup and ride this weekend. Lake Oecee powerhouse is the Meetup at 10am Saturday. I am going to try and go, anyone that wants to go let me know. Trail is easy so even a 2wd mall crawler grocery getter soccer mom kid hauler grandpa truck could do it...or car...lol. plan on camping Saturday night, or not...and don't be a wuss I just drove 1800 miles plus to get a pup..a weekend away will do ya good.

Group Camping/trail ride/ trash clean up

This coming Saturday we are picking up trash as we travel along the Big Frog Loop. Half the group is coming from TN and half from GA. We will meet at 10am @ ocoee powerhouse#3 (35.075077,-84.483261) and will head out at 10:30. Come fully fueled up & ready to go. Gps it to see distance for you

The path we are taking is shown in the picture below. It is stock truck/SUV friendly as they are maintained Forest service roads. I drove the loop yesterday and it seems that the Forest service has cleaned up most of the trail system, but we will still ride and pick up as we see it. It'll be a several hour ride with beautiful mountain views along the way. It'll be much cooler temperature wise up there in the woods!

There will be an opportunity to leave if you can't stay the night. There is a large campsite in an open area surrounded by trees, probably big enough for 30 or 40 trucks TBH. We will camp and hang out and make a big ol fire. The campsite is located at (34.860416,-84.636733). The next morning when people are making their way out it won't be a far drive to get back to the road.

I'll provide trashbags, gloves, and water. Bring your own food and beverages for camping Saturday night! Should be a fantastic time. Excited to meet and camp with many of you! I'm sure I'm missing something. Plug those coordinates in Maps to see how far you are!

    When: Saturday (08/24)
Meet at: 10am, leave at 10:30am
Where: start at ocoee powerhouse 3 coordinates: (35.075077,-84.483261)
    Camp at:(34.860416,-84.636733)

*Mileage is about 16mi from the start to the optional exit. From start to campsite were looking at ~30 miles which could take several hours. Come fueled up because it's constant up/downhill lol.

    ¿Questions? Lmk

That sounds awesome and is a great idea. I don't think I'm going to be able to ditch mama with the newborn and 2 others under 3 years old.

Perhaps we can organize something similar later in the year. I saw a ton of trash on the section of trey mountain road that is still open the last time I was up there.

As for the camper bar setup, that's too booshi for my taste.

Who’s doing what for Labor Day weekend? Taking Friday off so I have a nice 4 day weekend. Was thinking of heading to Fernandina, or maybe back to Windrock, or maybe AOP. Maybe just a camping trip in the usual spot in North GA...

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I would bro, but I am rolling to NC to BudBuilt to give them flow to start up the SS skids!
