    Getting ready to do my first flash with JustDSM's throttle map from this thread. Are you guys using VCM Editor 4.5.494 Beta?

    For those needing to rewrite the vin you can do it within the Techstream software itself (im using v14...) Under Engine and ETC Data section, click on utilities, then vin.

    Rewrote my vin number on the backup ecu and had no problems flashing a tune... but boy was that nerve racking after my last failed attempt.... worst part was after the successful write, i went to start and my heart sank when the truck wouldnt start....

    Forgot to put the fuel pump relay back in lol .

    I noticed that on my NA truck the throttle was not snapping open but gradually opening and not holding full throttle...
    I found the torque based throttle was limiting my throttle...
    Good news it also seams to control the traction control throttle limit.
    Bad news it is also used for cruise control, so fixing the throttle and having a usable traction control made my cruise control go crazy...

    I'm still working on it... Maybe something else also controls the throttle...

    I may have to build different maps for different uses...

    Where at were you seeing that? Not one of my logs do i ever remember seeing any dips of throttle plate angle even tho the accelerator was buried.

    that's how it should look.
    I posted a pick a few weeks ago but the logs were rounded and had a dip in throttle.
    Drastically changing the torque maps fixed it and softened up the traction control but made my cruise control go wacky..

    I'm surprised it had any affect on cruise control tbh.

    So be on the lookout for a "V11" nd4's trans tune this evening if i get a chance. I have been running around with it for the past couple days after tweaking from feedback from @snowsk8air2 and it definitely resolves some lugging issues in 5th lockup and improves overall drive ability around town even though im being more aggressive with hanging onto 3rd n 4th gear a lil longer! Needless to say me likey!

    I would love to give this a go. Do you think having a ratio-tek HD valve body kit installed would act differently under this tune? Not concerned over damage just seems like the kit adjusted shifting pressures via springs and valve body settings, would the tune double up these pressure settings?

    pretty sure @snowsk8air2 has a shift kit. The pressures that i change are minimal and just make all gears the same pressures and get rid of weird dips as described many pages of this thread ago haha. Nothing has gone outside the bounds of any max gear pressures seen stock.

    Main things with regards to any of my trans tunes are shift points and tcc lockup behavior. The change between v10 and v11 are slightly increased mph 3-4 and 4-5 shifts, and then changing the shape of 5th tcc lockup and release curve via rescaled axis values to better match shift curves as well as reduce any lugging.

    Yep, been loving it so far and driving the truck for the last week or so on this tune. And yes I have the ratiotek hd valve body kit.

    A day late, but here none the less..... V11!!!!!

    V10 Here - https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hp-tuners-for-2005-2015.600793/page-184#post-21086515

    Changes from the V10
    =========
    3-4 upshift + 80 ds rpm 0-25 ap% +100 @ 40 ap%
    4-5 upshift + 100 ds rpm 0 - 30 ap%
    3-2 downshift + 20 ds rpms 0 - 21 ap%
    4 tcc release - 150 ds rpms @ 40 ap%
    5th tcc apply - rescaled axis, changed values
    5th tcc release - rescaled axis, changed values to base to go back to stock but still hold on longer in the throttle
    =========
    Essentially, hold on to 3rd n 4th gear a lil longer, slightly change the 3 to 2 downshift at low throttle inputs to reduce lugging, Majority of the changes are with TCC. Moved back up to stock base DriveShaft rpms for 5th release and matched modded downshift curve with re-scaled axis, did the same with 5th Apply to match curve of modded upshift curve.

    Here is quick gif of the difference of 5th app and 5th release curves
    [IMG]

    Some might not like how aggressive lockup is held in 4th gear. I 99% of the time use 4th gear as a climbing gear, wherein I want to be able to bury my foot into it in lockup to make it up a steep grade without creating extra heat. If you dont like this let me know and ill come up with some closer to stock not as aggressive 4th gear tcc release values. Essentially if you are in 4th lockup, and above 45mph, it will NOT unlock until it downshifts to 3rd, which at freeway speeds of 65+ is around 75% accelerator pedal.

    The BIGGEST THING TO NOTE: If you are inputting these values into your tune take note of the BRIGHT RED highlighted axis and cell values in 5th apply and 5th release. THESE ARE NO LONGER DIFFERENCE VALUES as the axis values have been changed.

    As always, i assume no responsibility, but also as always, feel free to hit me up with any questions, help, feedback etc!

    Curious what you guys with smaller pulleys are running for PE enable/disable and target AFRs. Bumped mine down to 55/50 in an attempt to richen up part throttle, but it seems to be overshooting and running quite a bit richer than the target AFRs for a given RPM.
