wtf??? no 6dics changer????

i just noticed i dont have a 6 disc changer in my 2010 double cab trd. i dont have the jbl system but i do have the sat radio,aux audio input.
is the same with all new double cabs???my 08 had the changer but no sat radio.

You have the up and down disc arrows for disc selection so I would assume you had a disc changer. Did you try to load more than one disc?

Also, I can't help you with changing dics.

I just looked at your pic again. You don't have a load button. I guess you only have a single disc player. Really with the way everything is moving to ipods and MP3s a multiple disc player is not a big deal. Also I'm sure Toyota figured they could cut costs.

 

I thought All TRD models had the 6-Disk changer.. Does your spec sheet that was on the window of the vehicle say it has the 6 disk changer?

 

It would appear that you have a radio capable of reading Data discs that contain mp3 or WMA files. You can fit about 6-12 discs in mp3 or wma format (Depending on encoding and song length) on a single data disc. That would eliminate the need for an actual changer and save Toyota a bunch of money, yet include a cool feature.

i thought they all have it too. i just looked at my build sheet and it doesnt state 6 disc changer. it says the following:am/fm/cd with 6 speakers,aux audio input,mp3-cd & sat radio capable

i thought that after the fact. i have no clue anymore

 

On the Toyota website it said the 6 disc hu is an option but not standard.

The other thing that caught my eye on the TRD sport model for '11 the rear bumper was black in the "build your own" tool. Odd.

 

the 6 disc used to be standard on d/c when it was an option on the excab. i guess ill have to buy an alpine tv/dvd head unit

 

I have an 09 TRD sport 4x4 it came with the 6 cd player but you know what its crap so are the speakers soon as I have the cash I'll junk it and put a real system in there.

Nothing to do with the dealership. 6 CD changer and JBL is an options. It not standard on any TRD. I brought mine as an option with 6 cd and JBL.

 

no. my truck came right from the port and brought right to me

i dont have the jbl. they used to be standard .my 08 it was.
you had 2 options with a doublecab and 4 options with a extra cab in 08. most things that were options on xcabs were standard. i can believe these peckers made that an option

I have an 07 and it has a 6 disk, I was doing a raft shuttle and hopped in a '10 access cab and was confused when I noticed what you did about how its not a 6 disk. MP3 or not I still love to have my 6 disk changer

You can find someone who just took theirs out and buy it for cheap. I'm considering taking my 6disc out, but I haven't made up my mind or checked my bank account recently.

i was also pretty pissed about the same things. my 2010 taco offroad has no load button which is on the 6 cd changer. also speakers suck cock and i think they need some back speakers, not that wack factory woofer that looks flaming. i have the access cab it def needs an amp. the service dude at toyota said to go to best buy because they stand behind all their work and toyota acknowledges this

 

Weird, I guess they got rid of the 6 disc changer in the 10s (as standard in the TRD). I got the 6 disc, mp3 compatible stereo in my 09, with the cheese ass sub in the back. The stereo came out in a matter of weeks, the sub is still there, yet the silver "x" has been sprayed black. I also added a JL 10W3.
