I don't think I really want to chance it. 2019 Black. Not to mention drilling holes into the cab along the windsheild on a new truck. seems to me like you are asking for rust problems 4-5 years down the road.

Honestly a set of good ditch lights (like rigid dually SS) and you don’t need a front bar unless you are driving fast and need the distance distance.

yeah it was pretty sketchy doing it on my brand new truck at the time but now I have some trail damage so I don't really care about getting scratches or dents as much but definitely still careful

I vote to remove the light bar. It will look a lot better in my opinion.

Because they are not road use legal for obvious reasons, ideally you shouldn't be hitting the trails at night anyway, if you are the extra illumination isn't necessary unless you are baja racing. Having a little swivel spotlight would be more helpful than a 4 foot long light bar. The same is true for the use case scenario of a farmer/rancher who has to check on equipment or animals at night, Having an adjustable spotlight would be better for them as well.

None of you are going fast enough to need a roof mounted light bar.

    Prove me wrong.

Mount it to a roof rack. I will only use mine during hunting season when I'm at my hunt camp. It all came on my truck when I bought it, Its all a pain in the ass to wash/wax around but it's there if I need to use it.

 Why do you need a light bar on a truck to hunt?

Ohhh... yeah, ok. So he's not actually hunting.

I use a light bar on my head when I hunt, it's called a head lamp. But i use it to set up camp after sunset. After walking for miles to legitimately spot & stalk animals.

I went spotlighting once for little ground animals in Nevada. Now, I am no murder prude but I couldn't stomach shooting all those dazed, defenseless, little critters over and over again.

Winter days are short sometimes you get stuck out on the trails at night shit happens, at least in my experience's having light bars are better than not having them and needing them. I do agree though those big ass roof mounted ones are a little excessive.

Shouldn't be? Why not? A lot of us use our trucks out in the sticks for more than playing on the trails or off roading just for the sake of off roading. Night travel is required often, and the lights are a huge help. Nothing short of a blessing for night time off road travel. OEM lights aren't great on the road....are even worse off road...and are downright useless when you throw in a little dust or mud on the lights and are traveling at any speed greater than 15mph. Then throw in a little weather or open range cattle, deer and elk darting across the roads, and things get interesting fast.

Having said that, have never been a fan of roof mounted lights, and I'd personally ditch them. Crappy depth perception and just begging to be ripped off by a low hanging branch. As well as decreasing vertical beam throw when mounted up high. When running a single light, lower mounting just works better and gives a larger "sweet spot" to work with.
