In mine, I know this is how it happens. Every now and then I willingly reboot it and I can see when it does the switch. Also when I get too creative and crash the head unit reloaded app, the unit restarts itself and boom(km).
Anyways as I mentioned, waiting on their response.

Does it keeps the date and time? If yes, maybe an app is crashing after you turn the truck off. If not, may be an electrical issue(doubt it).

Check the yellow(12v+) and red(12v+ Acc) cables. Make sure they are completely plugged in. If you have a meter check if the behave correctly(measure on the radio side of the plug). You should have 12v
+ always on the red and 12v+ when the ignition is on acc.

    Good luck.

Unfortunately I don't have a 3D printer ...yet. I am going to order a set using a printing service to see how they work for me. Thanks for sharing.

    Sweet! Hope they work well.

In the interest of full disclosure, these fit well as printed on my printer. There’s no guarantee that another printer will produce exactly the same dimensions (depending how mine is calibrated vs the other printer), but I would guess that any differences would not be severe, and at worst just require opening some holes with a drill.

Also, make sure you tell the printing service to use a material that can withstand heat. PLA will not cut it for this application. As soon as your truck sits in the sun for a few hours they’ll warp. PETG or ABS are acceptable, Nylon is exceptional.

The headunit will change miles to KM after a full reboot.

Check the settings to see if the headunit is set to sleep when vehicle is turned off or if it's fully rebooting every time.

Sadly, I was having issues with this and their tech support was atrocious so I ended up going for a different HU.

My main issues were the miles to km changing, the touch volume buttons not working, wifi slowing down sometimes and lack of google assistant voice calling.
    https://www.joyingauto.com/joying-l...tion-system-for-toyota-corolla-2017-2018.html

This Joying HU, has a built in volume button, and double the storage, and ram. So far it has worked better/faster and has only crashed once in almost a month. There is also a lot more support for modding, and someone already made a root utility with various features, including changing the dpi to 161 or above, which enables google voice calling.

Apparently it's the most popular HU Brand around the XDA Forums, so it's well supported.

A shame because I did really like the IYING HU, specially the aesthetics, but it was not gonna work out in the long run considering how much I tinker with stuff.

On another note, I had success adapting the second usb port to the aux port on the vehicle, I was too lazy to drive and get a smaller dremel so it can be done a bit better

Im getting ready to pull the trigger on this and have a few questions prior....

    1) Does this headunit retain the factory AUX and USB? (i.e OEM usb port used for carplay)
    2) Other than the headunit, what all do I need to make it fully functional; including apple car play?

    You need a dongle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MZSL84F

And I would also get some additional brackets just in case I had the plastic crappy metra ones unless you can get the stock ones to work. Also have a USB stick that is formatted to fat32 (PC) so you can download the apk files and plug it into the USB ports and transfer updates. Let me know if u have questions.

Does this headunit not retain the oem USB port below the dash?

If you are buying IYING, you don't need a dongle. The unit comes with an adapter to keep the stock usb working as factory. Apple CarPlay comes active with the unit, if you also want Android Auto you ask for it at purchase and it will also be active.
Any other questions feel free to ask.

So if I buy the IYING unit, is there anything else I need other than the unit itself? It retains all oem functions via canbus?

Steering controls on the left side, audio related/phone calls, retained nothing else needed as it using the canbus that it comes with. You can actually map those keys to whatever to your liking.

Well I cant seem to find the IYING unit anywhere.. so im looking into the DASAITA unit for car play and all. soo it looks like all I need is the unit and the USB carplay dongle.. I want the unit to work almost oem with all the factory components (i.e steering wheel controls, usb, aux...) would the USB dongle be behind the dash or would it have to be plugged into the oem usb then the lightning cable?
