Anyone running a solar setup? I want to make a battery circuit to power some lights and possibly phones on the trailer and want an individual system.

Welp. Got in a wreck. Both of us were backing out but only saw the woman walking by my truck. Busted my taillights and hit her drivers rear fender. Nothing touch up pain can’t fix.

On Saturday I started at the east end of the Georgia Traverse and ran it to Helen where we camped for the night (did not do Tray Mountain due to it being closed).

Here is a video of the Tallulah River crossing and the Charlie's Creek section for those of you who have not been! I did my best to avoid the mud puddles since I was alone with my fiancee and our pup. If you haven't done this section, it is fun and easy! Good camping opportunities along the way as well. It is probably 1.5 hours to the start of Charlie's Creek from Greenville directly, so super easy to get out there for a day or weekend.

I'll be doing more sections of the Traverse, posting photos, and exploring northern Georgia/Upstate SC a lot this fall and winter. Check out my instagram @pupandhistruck if you want to follow along. Feel free to drop me a message if you want to link up and hit some trails!

I forgot you would be there! I remembered when we were grabbing drinks in Helen and though "oh sh!t!".

Looked like my favorite campsite was taken (first one - down the hill to the left). Did you guys camp out at all?

Nah, had a cabin in Clayton. Hit up a Mexican restaurant I think! Haha. Didn’t get much riding in, did a bit of exploring Friday, found a nice secluded camp spot in the forest with lake access and was shocked no one was to be seen! Did some research and found very little info on it so definitely gonna try and go back! Looks like hidden gem material!

Saturday was spent fiddling with the CVs and potential wheel bearing issue, still haven’t had a chance to really solve it but the brake issue is now fixed!! Miraculously!

Did y'all go to Lake Burton? Moccasin Creek SP is on my list of places to check out.

Took me a while to realize this was sped up lol. Did you have to engage 4wd at all?

Haha I promise I was not driving that fast! It is sped up about 3x.

I did engage 4wd preemptively when I hit the big mud/water pit at 7:20. As it was wet out, it was not a bad idea to have 4wd. However, it is doable in 2wd, I would just recommend going on a dry day or going with someone else.

My buddy takes his 2wd Expedition out here a few times a year. He had a mishap once, but has not had issues since he got an A/t tire.

Also, I should note that this is just a small section of the Georgia Traverse on the route from the east side to Helen. With Tray Mountain being closed, this is the most "difficult" section. Every other road from the east start to Helen (going around Tray mountain) is extremely 2wd friendly.

    GA traverse found here:

I don't know what my 2019 T4R property tax would be if I lived on HHI or Kiawah- but I do know what it is here in Tega Cay...

Take the 1st "1" off and that's mine for my truck. Lol. Most I'd ever seen was my Chrysler 300 $850.

That's insane. I pay less than your T4R taxes on my two story house...

    Indeed.

My 2014 DCSB Tacoma is now 5 years old- this was the first year it went below $500.00!

    VERY expensive property tax here!
