Definitely not a fan. You be you though. I personally opt for hidden bumper light and A pillar pods

For running down trails in the truck to help light them up. We run all over. River bottom trails, mountain fire trails. No spotlighting needed, the dogs find the coons but getting to them when they have run a mile through rough shit its nice to see all the obstacles in your path :boink:

You should ask before you assume or accuse. Not everybody bought the truck for the purpose that you did! There are many different walks of life that have different uses for certain accessories or tools on their vehicle.

And as you use a headlamp, you can see one reason I don't like lights mounted over line of sight. No shadows, and no depth perception on rocks and holes. Don't know how many times I've about busted my azz at zero-dark-thirty walking into and out of spots during the dark using headlamps.

Like you, I'm also walking into and out of points to glass well before sunup, and after last light. Usually a mile or two each way. The auxiliary lights on the truck come in handy when driving into and out of my hike in points. Often a 30 minute to 1hr drive in from camp, another hour walking, then repeat on the way out. Won't see me moving around much during daylight hours on a hunt, less the occasional "spot got blown" and head out mid-day to get to another spot for the afternoon / evening hours.

Spot and Stalk...only way to go!

Yep, you're absolutely right. I did assume and it was wrong to. Apologies.
