    I'm in a manual, but I've found they don't really need a regear even for day-to-day. On trail a crawl box will go much further than the gears would, so if you want to look into that it might be worthwhile as that's where the truck is weak IMO.

    I've been running 255/85s on a couple trucks and like them. Since I found that 17s tend to be closer to $200 in that size (255/80r17), and Falken offers that size in their AT3w I'm giving them a try.

    I think the Coopers are $20 less per tire in a 17. Specs are otherwise near identical. At minimum, knowing this you gain a few more options in essentially the same size.

    I don't think they'd rub much on a stock suspension on the street, but I don't see 33x10" size tires not rubbing during articulation and turning offroad. The 17" wheels are Sequoia/Tundra/4runner in that similar offset and width so that doesn't change much.

    I haven't had them on a whole lot of kilometers, about 7000km since middle of April 2019 but I've never had an issue in the rain and road noise remains the same. Louder than stock, but not noticeable at speed. You can hear a deep hum when decelerating, same but quieter when accelerating. They've gotten slightly quieter over the time that I've had them.

    Hey gang- I pulled the trigger on the 17" Pro SEMA wheels- and am pretty set on sticking with BFGR for tires. I dont see a BFGR option for the 255/80/17 though in the KO2. any suggestions?

    Unfortunately, being a light truck/commercial tire size BFG hasn't created a KO2 variant for this size. I went to the Mastercraft CXT as a compromise, but many like their ST MAXX as an alternative.

    I know, I wanted KO2's originally myself. The CXT has been noisy but otherwise very satisfactory for me.

    it ended up being preferred to me. BFG All-terrains aren't even considered anymore after the ST-MAXX performance
