If you get a new laptop every 2 years or so what happens to the Registration key? Is it transferable to a new computer? I seem to go through laptops every 2 years but i think ill keep my truck for atleast 10.

2 hours and 48 min this morning at the dealer to get my ECU upgraded from 04B00 to 04B04 and have my tires rotated. :annoyed: Time to get OV tuned!

I was all excited about the 04B31 flash until I remembered I have 04B30.

Are you referring to 2.0 beta or 1.05? I have a 2019 TRD Pro. Debating trying to 2.0 beta. Curious how it stacks up to 1.05 Performance.

Do you guys know what’s going on in 4th gear when it drops a couple hundred rpm’s after shifting to 4th? I’ve noticed it with stock and on 2.0. At least w/ the tune it’ll go back to higher rpm’s if it need a little more. Completely kills momentum when climbing grades

Are you on the original beta or the one released this past Saturday? I had the same 3 - 4th gear dead pedal issue on stock and 1.05 tunes but this most recent 2.0 beta seems to have fixed that for me.

Literally the most frustrating thing I’ve ever encountered. Is it a fuel economy thing?

I noticed that in the private testing file a month+ ago. Happens while climbing from dead stop. I was logging the data and this is how I narrowed down to vvt changing angle by ~5°, resulting in 400 rpm drop and immediately recovering.
I noticed this on 16012 version last night, entering freeway (climbing)

The drop in RPM’s is the biggest complaint and might be my only. It drops the rpm’s too low and then I’m doing the 4000-2500rpm shuffle. Even w/ 4.88’s and the tune, there is still not enough torque to hold speed. Not to discredit the tune at all but it still sucks

    I'm stock.
I would suggest to start logging data ( you have all hardware and techstream is available). There could be something else going on in your case.

Just to be clear, 2.0 has been great! It’s jyst a characteristic of the truck that I don’t understand

I'm on the 2.0 latest beta release. I didn't like the performance tunes due to them being too aggressive for pushing the trailer around or rock climbing. 2.0 has a 1%-10% if you finesse the pedal. Complete control and I like that. I feel like the performance started at 10%. I like the new transmission logic as well. I also just got the 5.29s so it may be better now with the performance tune but I'll stick to the moving forward stuff.

Being the lazy person I am, I'm not bothering with the TSB or techstream to go to 04A61; I'm just gonna wait it our for the 2.0 for 04A60 ECU. Anyone else in that same boat?

I want to say that's the torque converter locking in to keep the truck from gear hunting so much. Mine doesn't do it with 2.0 since Mat changed up the transmission logic and everything.

On the latest 2.0? I’m still on the 2.0 OLE GL. Hoping to flash to the latest in a bit.

I’m on latest 2.0, do not notice that behavior. Can say I drove from Los Angeles to Baja on the first 2.0 beta OLE, slight inclines and the hills on the 73 were a little brutal with the dead pedal and just not finding the right gear for the incline. It was ok but felt too much thinking about driving was necessary.

Downloaded and flashed the latest 2.0 beta(no value reset) before driving back and the same hills in reverse were absolutely night and day, effortless and enjoyable. Have to say so far this version is nailing it for me in all conditions, echoing a number of the other responses to this update.

I just flashed to the latest so I’m anxious to sea how it is. I drive from Sacramento to Mammoth so from sea level to over 10,000ft. The power is there, it’s just those long ass grades and it just doesn’t have enough RPM to stay in 4th. I’m not sure anything will really change it as I believe the gears are all too tall.

Drove up the 395 from Los Angeles area (Lakewood) to Reno area (Sparks) on 105.1. Going through those steeps pulls with 3000 lbs of trailer and gear had me crawling at about 30 mph. That sucked. My transmission was way hotter than I was comfortable with. I’d rather not have to do that again. TC never locked. Not sure even 2.0 would help enough. My truck it’s completely stock. Those are the trips I wish I had 4.88 gears.
