USF won 59-14 after a slow start tonite, hopefully we step our game up against the Gators next week. I'm glad we won our first game with our new coach.

Bama had a nice warm up for Penn State next week... 48-3 over SJSU. was a fun time in the newly expanded Bryant Denny Stadium.

 

From what I saw of the gators today, you can realistically hope to beat them next week. I'll be pulling for you.

 

I'm in the car on the way back from the game... Hearing that UNC is trying hard to come back against La. State.... Another SEC collapse today? (Congrats to your other team, btw, drifter.)

UNC made it interesting, would have been a big win. You see my boy Daniel Thomas get 234 today...kid is good, will play on Sundays

 

Auburn's defense isn't that great. Hopefully they step it up by Thursday.

But i have to say Cam Newton is a beast. almost 200 yds rushing, and is a good passer too.

 

the D looked 100000 times better. I know it was a weak opponent. But, its a great way to start. I like Murray, hes a gamer.

 

Yeah. They'll need to be good to make it through the SEC. You visit the home of a four-headed rushing monster right at the end of the season, too.

Last night's game went from glimpses of a damn good football team to Miles trying to hand the game over to UNC. At least we survived for the W, that's the only thing that makes it better than the Ole Miss collapse. And we were at least playing a ranked ACC team, though they were missing key players. Long season ahead unless we can find that 2nd quarter team and have that talent displayed throughout the rest of the season.

 

Well, our defense didn't look to hot at the beginning of last season either.. and you saw how well we held that 'rushing monster' last year.

Plus we've got a whole season to prepare for it. Well be fine. As long as Cam Newton is healthy I'm not going to be too worried.

 

Two things... First, I believe the result of your handling of the monster last year did nothing to impede our march to 14-0, a Heisman Trophy, and a NC. Just saying...

Second, even if you stop all of our RBs dead in their tracks, you still have to deal with this guy:

Big deal we should have beaten yall, you got lucky in the last 2 minutes of the game. It won't happen again this year trust me. And we WILL beat you this year, and you will NOT win a MNC again this year.

 

I'm looking forward to the game. You can call the last two minutes of last year's game luck if you want. If you honestly sit down and watch that drive, though, I think you'll see something different. Regardless, shoulda/woulda/coulda won... You didn't.

I'd be happy to put a TW wager on this year's game, if you want. No money... Loser has to use Winner's team logo as his avitar for a week. Something like that.

I'd like to win another NC, of course, but I'm not going to go out and predict that kind of success this early. Big test this week, and another couple of tests two and three weeks after that (@Ark and FL).
