I got rear ended a few weeks back, and there was damage to the front and rear bumper. State farm just cut me a $2400 check to fix it all! So I'm thinking new front and rear bumpers! My first thought is ARB for the front, and try to find a cheap rear bumper on CL, but I'm not sure what my options are. I would prefer something aftermarket, and not something cheap like a westin or smittybilt. What do you guys think I should do???

I would suggest getting some custom ones done
There is a play out here that has done a few Tacos including mine, good quality the front was $900 and the rear is probably $300-500 if you wanted to go that route
When i went in to order mine they where finishing up a 2nd gen one and those are nicer then mine!

you should get and ATO high clearance rear bumper, and a relentless fab front bumper; you would still have maybe a grand left over? :D

I like the shockworx front bumper, didn't see one for the rear. Mattleegee, who is making your bumper? And do you have any pics? I'm interested in a custome one too. My e-mail address is storer_ce23@hotmail.com

I suspect there is more damage than just the bumpers. Brackets, hitch, etc. might be damaged also. The reason for my skepticism is that usually the insurance will cut you a check for a lot less than if you actually get it repaired using FACTORY parts and not their Chinese clones. Sign the check and you just waved your rights.

I got my bumper and left body panel hit with only 2500 miles on the truck. The insurance sent me a check for $900. I took it to a real repair shop. They lifted up the truck and showed me damaged parts that weren't on the estimate. After all said and done and using Toyota parts it cost around $1900.

The best thing was the owner of the repair shop is a Tacoma owner. You ought to see his 1st generation red dbl-cab. Beautiful! He is the authorized Ferrari and Porsche repair shop for Utah.

There might be, I did a pretty thorough check underneath but didn't see any glaring issues. The guy hit me going between 10 and 12 mph, and he pretty much hit the hitch, so I don't know how much damage could have been done with that kind of a low impact.
