When it gets here some day, I'll have the passenger half. I had to keep the other portion for my subwoofer. The "in-my-head" blueprints have the bottom section overhanging on the bottom with some legs on a hinge. A piano hinge or something similar would connect an upper portion. The bottom would bolt onto the seat hinges. Both sections would have a slot for the childseat latch thing to poke through. I looked at possibly having a spring latch on the bottom of the bottom panel to lock the entire thing to the childseat latch. I haven't cut or test fit anything. Obviously different from what you're doing, but the measurements will still help.

Are these two ohm replacements? I just redid my whole stereo with alpine speakers and head unit which is at four ohms since I wanted to go to the four ohm stuff...but almost stayed in the two ohm realm.

I don't see any ohms specs anywhere but they are rated Input 150 Watts RMS, Max Input 300 Watts RMS

Hmmm sadly I wouldn’t know based off that either. Us it louder than before?

Louder and much more crisp detail compared to the stock tweeters.

No mine is a bit different as you can see in the pic below. Notably the button ordering/selection and mine has "HD Radio/Gracenote" printed on the lower right corner. Is your radio a non-Entune version?

Gonna say yes? The original truck window sticker simply calls it out as a 6.1" touchscreen/AM/FM radio/6 speakers/BT/hands free capable.

    In other words, barest bones.

Yeah sounds like non-Entune especially since your pic didn't have the "Apps" button.

Brian, I think I'm going to install the same speakers and tweeters that you did. That is, IF you think the upgrade was worth the cost. I already have everything in my Amazon cart...even the sound deadener. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet

Well, sure! I was just gonna take your word on it if you say it was worth it.

I believe it's worth it since it's not too expensive. I mentioned this in the video but as long as you aren't expecting teeth-rattling bass like you would get from a subwoofer/amp, then I'm pretty sure you'll be impressed with the sound quality over the stock speakers. Might as well hear them in person though since we are close.

@boogie3478 Did you ever fill in the gap(s) on the Dobinson's snorkel with anything? I remember you saying you were going to look into it.

Was there a reason why you didn't cut the original clip off the factory tweeter and reuse it? If you cut the wire close to the tweeter you could have soldered the wires to the new tweeter terminals or wires and saved yourself a lot of work.
