Any ideas on how to remove?

I just recently picked up a used 2017 trd off-road and on the dash it looks like some sort of GoPro mount maybe? Right in between the 4wd and AC buttons, I think it may be glued on. Any ideas on how to remove it or what I should do?

 

That’s probably a magnetic mount for a ball on the back of something. Phone based?

 

I’m not quite sure what it is but I think it’s an eyesore haha I would like to remove it and it sometimes will get in the way when I want to change the ac and I’m not paying attention

I've seen those. Super double sided stick tape.

I want to say goo gone, but I would be cautious as there may be paint that could be damaged on the trim piece.

 

That’s what I was thinking and I didn’t want to go prying at it and break anything

 

I removed one with dental floss then goo gone on the adhesive residue. Didn't damage anything but was in an older truck.

 

If it’s double sided tape, heat it up with a hair dryer then fishing line to cut through then goo gone to remove adhesive...

 

Heat it up with a hair dryer on a low or medium setting and see if the adhesive starts to come loose.

I will try to heat it up and use the dental floss to remove it tomorrow after work, hopefully it will work cause I’m tired of looking at it

I'd be cautious as the damage done (discolored dash, hole ect.) removing it may look worst than it does now.
