Are you logging the data or monitoring shifting via phone apps?

    2018 TRD Off Road, DCLB
    2" Lift
    265/75/16 Falken Wildpeaks (C rated)
    Sliders
    Full aluminum skids
    Leer cap

Flashed 2.0 beta (04A61), 5 min. warm up and 2 pulls in 2nd gear to 5500RPM.

In order to see what the changes are from 1.05 to 2.0, I took my morning commute route. Driving this route, I know every like and dislike about my Tacoma and where these instances occur. The route is short, around 24 miles round trip.

4 miles of stop and go city stuff (35MPH), 12 miles of flat driving at 55MPH, a little up hill at 50MPH (300' elevation change) and then flat again.

    What I noticed:
    1. The 3rd gear TC unlock/lock, followed by the quick 4th gear is all but gone. That would drive me crazy when I tried to get up to 55MPH from a stop sign.
    2. The up hill climb, where the truck hums along at 2100RPM at 50MPH, I noticed the ~2100RPM VVT vibration in the steering wheel was greatly diminished.
    3. Much more pedal, smooth power and shifting at 55MPH, even when I got on it a bit.
    5. More miles and freeway miles needed.

Thanks Mat. I am enjoying my Tacoma again.

No change to Crawl Control on 04A61. But, my experience with Crawl Control is that any setting below 4 is unbearable. I tested it tonight using settings 1 - 3 with the same unbearable results.

4low tables are completely separate from 2wd tables. Mat has mentioned this in the past, and I assuming nothing exceptional has changed or he would have mentioned it.

I just noticed that this thread has over 3.55M viewings. Out of curiosity I cruised the other popular sub-forums on TW and the highest I could find was about 1.6M (there may be others higher, but I didn't find them in a 5 minute search). That's a testament to the interest in these products.

Flashed 4A61 2.0 Beta and did my warm up and multiple pulls. Wasn't sure how to do 2nd gear pulls without it in S mode. Gun it in 2nd gear and the truck shifts into 1st. But did manage to get a few in. Did about a 15 mile loop and will put more as the week goes. Feels great! Will put the tune to the test with different conditions.

OK , I need some help with getting my OVtune to work, I have turned off my anti-virus, turned off windows defender, uninstalled and re-installed the Toyota flash manager and the P5flash along with the tune files 5 times now. I'm able to download only the 1.05 files for all three octane ratings in base, performance, gearlock and stock I'm fine with that, I can wait for 2.0. My problem is I can't get the files to flash into my ECU on my truck. see screen shots Any real help would be great .Also I have to redownload the P5flash every time I try to open it, it's there dark grey lets me click on it but it just says ready on the bottom of the box. ovtune base.jpgovtune gearlock.jpg Thank you

04A61 Flashed 2.0, 5 min warm up and two pulls. Driven about 60 miles so far. My throttle and acceleration feels robust and my mileage seems to have improved a bit, need more miles to make a solid statement and post a pic of my readout. This tune is magic on my Taco so far.... excellent work OVTune

@OVTune any updates on the dump tubes from the independence day sale? Last I saw,you said the fabricator was shipping them to you. Also asking again, will they come with all the gaskets needed for install?

Yes, I was getting the same issue until I uninstalled and reinstalled OVTune per the instructions. You should be on P5Flash (ToyFlash) 1.2.2

I was a bit surprised when I changed lanes to pass a slow driver this morning. Pedal down, revs up, and the truck just took off. It's never felt that peppy before. This is 100% stock on 2.0 OLE Beta2 with 93 in the tank.

What is this VVT vibration you speak of? I get what we call a buzzy vibration in the steering wheel and gas pedal right around 2000rpm. Something different than what you experienced?

I am very happy to hear that everyone is liking 2.0 so much. Lets get it wrapped up and released before the end of the year to everyone!
