Can I volunteer to be the test mule for CARB approval? I'll drive up to LA/Ontario/IE for testing and I'll help submit the paper work.... :fingerscrossed::D

I’ll speak up since everybody seems to be going the ‘don’t need to tow’ route. For me, it’s likely about towing. I plan on towing at about 1k lbs below rated towing capacity and about 200lbs below rated cargo. The truck can likely handle it as is, but the experience won’t be so great as soon as I get outside of Texas flatlands.

So for me it’s about being able to drive a bit more safely on the highways. If I can get to speed without causing a major logjam behind me, great. If I can carry speed at 65 instead of 55, I’m less of a hazard on the road.

As it is right now empty, it’s great around town and decent on the highway on 2.0 OLE base. SC numbers would be nice, but I wouldn’t drop the coin without the need for towing.

Sure, a 1/2 ton or greater would do the job better. But I don’t want to deal with a) another truck (out of garage bays), or b) a full size truck for those 345 days a year I’m not towing.

Been trying to find info & threads on 8” failures. Can you elaborate more on these failures? Only thing I know is the Sport has the smaller 8” diff that is not as “beefy” as the 8.75”. I just dropped off my truck this morning to have 4.88s done. Hope I don’t got a ticking time bomb.

There was someone else but I don’t remember off hand.

It was guys that beat on it pretty hard with 35s so if you take it easy I wouldn’t anticipate a problem.

I’m curious about what other parts you guys are going to get to go along with the turbo kit? Particularly which exhaust system?
Going to keep the stock trd pro exhaust and might switch to AFE hi-tuck down the line, and looking at some pretty defi advance gauges :burnrubber:

I’m guessing URD? And that is a good point, I wonder how long the stock clutch will last after slapping this on...
