discuss ....I'm debating if I should remove the driver/pass seat covers and throw them in the washing machine? anyone?

I've got some funk coming off the seat covers on the driver side due to the salt water/sweat/sunscreen/ misc etc...lol

I've had mine for 4 + years and I have only attempted to wash the driver side by soaking it in a bucket with detergent but then i get paranoid that the absorbent material in the back might be affected if i do it again.

    help please:confused:

Wash in place with mild soap and water using a cloth .... no brushes ...... wipe with clear water ...... pat and air dry ..... I had no problems ..... looked like new.

    Good luck.

WE stricktly says NO MACHINE WASH. I take my seats out, use a mild dissh soap (or the WE stuff), and a garden hose, and wash them. Just be carfull not to get the underside wet. Last time, I used a hose and a shop vac, and just washed them inside the truck

yea the last time i used the bucket and drowned the driver side in it with tide soap. the water turn to brown (it was super dirty) but it took a long time to dry and i was getting worried that the absorbent material wasn't gonna work anymore -_-

I'll try the shop vac method. Im pressure washing my truck after work tomorrow and i'll get started on the wet okoles

I've had a few sets of Wet Okole and about every year and a half, I took them off, put them in the bath tub with wet suit soap and let them soak for about 30 min. Then washed them by hand like washing laundry by hand and rinse. Then I'd hang them up to dry, takes about a day. then treat them with the UV stuff so they don't fade. They come very clean and stay nice longer:)

i did exactly as WE instructed except i had mine out of truck.
just a bucket of water with WE soap and wash rag. i just threw the rag full of soapy water down on the cover, wiped it down and hosed it off. i didn't get the undersides wet. WE doesn't want you to get that wet.
as far as drying i just used my "absorber" shamy thingy and it quickly/ easily absorbed most of water. 10 min in sun and they were all completely dry.
after they were done drying i sprayed some uv stuff on there and called it a done deal.
you know what i gotta do this today on my fronts i just got back from WE and i'll take soem cellphone pics for a play by play walk through

Today's trivia question ....... we all talked about them, we all have seen them, most of us have them ......

soooo ......... what does "OKOLE" mean ..... no cheating, goggling, etc ....

HONEST ANSWERS .... it took a friend of mine who once lived in Hawaii that brought it to light for me.

    Have fun!

yea hence the reason why I asked for my covers to be blacked out with just the gray piping. Not sure if that is the real meaning but I just didn't want any logo on my seat covers.
