Are you guys dumb?? You never heard of the Toyota Tacoma SR5 TRD PRO - Off Road Edition??? Bunch of rookies...

 

I’ve seen a SR in FL badged like how a Pro would come off the lot except instead of fender flares and hood scoop, the owner used some auto zone faux vents and some God aweful wheels.

It’s the same as people who slap the AMG badge on their C300 or E350.. those who don’t know don’t care and those that know see you as a poser.

Exactly. I had to tell a co-worker that the M badge on his 228i wasn't fooling anyone and just looks silly to BMW fans. His excuse, was he bought it (used) that way and he thought it was cool. He took it off the following weekend haha.

Considering it says "TRD Pro" on the vinyl I think it's safe to say that you're wrong and that it is in fact designed specifically for the pro. Not sure why a sport owner would want a decal that says "trd pro".

 

The point is that the vinyl could be placed on a Sport. It’s not like that sticker will only work on a Pro. Not saying I would do it, but people love to replicate a “fancier” package. I just don’t understand why you’re upset if someone adds a Pro badge on their truck. At the end of the day, it’s not your truck to worry about

Not worried, I’m just saying that the TRD accessories can be interchanged on any model Tacoma, if the owner wishes. The same reason anyone shares their opinion on here.

 

He is. It was cheaper to roll all the trim levels into the same vehicle rather then hire multiple drivers.

No, but I don’t agree with his idea that people shouldn’t “make their truck something that it’s not.” If they like a badge, then they like the badge.

 

I don’t mind if a guy puts a pro badge on it. It’s not like the trucks are so different that they aren’t the fucking SAME.

But that badge placement is priceless. It’s like a third nipple in my armpit.

 

True. Although I do agree that it’s dumb to do so. Their right to be dumb, but still dumb. I would hope people would think I was an ass if I put Z71 on my truck.
