    Yup, thats up there.

@Bigdaddy4760 what do you do at the mine?

Man, I have a shit ton of questions for you.
    Is it a seasonal mine?
    Whats your work rotation?
Looks like its a mine housing unit?
How's the chow? Usually pretty good in my experience.
    Helo in and out?
Whats the longevity of that mine supposed to be?
    Hows the money?

That should get me started. Reminds me of Williston ND when I worked up there.

    Good Morning Rob
    Is it a seasonal mine?
Full time employment but we do have seasonal work during our short summer.
    Whats your work rotation?
I work 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off. But all new hires are being put on an even schedule. 2x2 or 3x3
Looks like its a mine housing unit?
Yes we have the nicest remote housing in AK.
How's the chow? Usually pretty good in my experience.
Chow is very good with a lot of selection. Way to many cookies and donuts in the break rooms.
    Helo in and out?
We charter 737's from Alaska Air.
Whats the longevity of that mine supposed to be?
Around 2040, we are just now developing to go underground in a new spot.
    Hows the money?
    Very good with great benefits.

No wheeling for me since I came back from my trip to Ohio. Been workings 12's and Saturday's trying to replenish my emergency fund.

Had a microburst/cell come thru my neighborhood a few weeks ago and took out 3 of my pin oaks. Still trying to recover.

    How's things going with you?

Good. I need to rebuild my leave hours too. Used a lot this Summer with grandkids being here, fishing, and hunting. Just took my last two days for a while last week.
I had part of a bush/tree...still haven't looked up what kinda tree it is  ... to clean up last week. Nothing like the mess you have with those pin oaks though.
Whatever came of that situation with your escrow and insurance paying for damage?

For the ceiling damage in the kitchen?
Nothing, deductible was $1000 and I was quoted $1200 for the repair.

Same with the tree issue. $1000 deduct. $900 for 3 trees cleaned up but when I came back from vacay, I had another 30 fter down in the side yard. I just ate the cost on both. No worries.

It's unsightly for the time being but it will get fixed sometime in the fall.

Wed, Sept 18 is 75 years since the crash of the B-24. Some friends are going to have a small vigil to lay some flowers and stuff at the 2 monuments in Borsele, SW Netherlands.

That's what homes seem to do...$1000 here, $1000 there. ;)

Looks like today is gonna be a slow warmer; not gettin' to 60° 'til noon. Hold off on B-pillar vinyl and decals 'til then. Oh, gotta mow back-yard too.

But for now, I think a nap. :)

It'd sure be neat to go there some year. I've got it in mind (bucket list) to visit those areas (and Europe again) before I kick it. Maybe wait 5 or 6 years and take my grandkids. Try to get them to understand what the Greatest Generation did for all of us.
