I am also curious about the non pressure and pressure intake piping. All silicone? Molded hard pieces? Wastegate control? I've owned Volvo and Subaru turbos so my heart is there. Need to convince my head about an aftermarket set up. Plus I have a $30K wedding to pay for......ugg...

well that's always silly to say, I bought my truck, but I still asked how much.

you've shown your rear plenty of times in this thread. lol

you will not break the 8" on road, you will break it bouncing off road. You will break the 8.75 bouncing off road. It's all about how you want to drive.

OVTune with the 2.0 release mostly fixes that up. My truck now shifts like any normal AT transmission vehicle I've driven before. And, $5+k less than TT or SC.

I ordered the handheld and will try it before i order one of the options for FI. Would be nice not to have to spend 5k. I don't understand why Toyota isn't getting any blowback on this. It is truly awful to drive unless you always use sport and control the shifting yourself - which is what I do. I rarely let it go beyond 4th and around town I keep it in 3rd.

I live in NW Reno (hilly area for non-locals) and I don’t have these problems. I’ve got steel armor everywhere you can put it on the truck with 33s and 4.88s. The recent ECU update makes a huge difference and Dolan will do it no questions. The new ecu update is like driving around with ect on in the old version, much better overall.

If that isn’t enough for ya then regearing makes a huge difference, I did it at like 1000 miles when I only had a lift and 33s. When everything was stock I was fine driving around town though... I ‘m guessing you have some mods?

If you do regear driveline & gear in sparks did a great job on mine.

We are a small small fraction of the 3rd generation owners out there. A good company would be watching forums to see what needs to be improved - I doubt Toyota does that.

I have a Caravan camper (for non-Nevadans this is a locally made shell that is all steel and weighs around 450 lbs), relentless hidden front bumper w/ winch and sliders. So maybe about 700 lbs extra. I have 4.88s and about 32 inch tires. My speedometer is smack on so the gear/tire combination must mean I am back to the stock shift points. It is so odd how different one truck to the next appears to be.

That’s really strange cause we’re pretty much the same rig spec wise, my weight is just down lower... Have you done the 04B04 update or OVtune?

No - he has not released the version for my truck yet. I ordered the handheld and will update then.

Haha mine went boom on factory gears and 33’s

Toyota rep told me on the DL that the manufacturer of the axels sent out thousands of warped axel shafts
