Nice to work outside for a change

 

I ground my rivets flush and hammered them out with an air hammer. Penetrating oil helps, and on a few of the rivets I had to drill them mostly out before they let go.

Come do mine next year

I've lived in CO since I was 3, so I'm not a true native either, but who gives a shit. I do wish we could throw the No Vacancy sign up though, I'm feeling a little crowded on the rivers...

Ive met a lot of people in my 4 years here and I can promise you that they cover a much larger range of types of people than I expected. Granted, its hard to qualify them as most of the people you meet arent actually from here, but the majority are not all all the kind of person I would have deemed a Colorado person before I got here. Ill just leave it at that.

Unfortunately... this episode was a bust... found the claim alright... but no mine entrance or shaft -- nothing to make a TV episode over. Just a bunch of rocks, dirt, and some wood shards and old cabling...
