That is way too much weight sir. These trucks may be rated for 6500lbs but they can only safely tow 500. I know this because I read it on the internet. .....

    6. I had the 2.7 in the first Tacoma and it wouldn’t pull anything so away it went. It was an automatic I think if I’d had a manual it would have been fine

    Looks like 2x 330gal and 1x 275gal IBC?

If those IBC's were full of liquid that trailers axle would have snapped due to the weight (7480lbs, assuming 8lbs of liquid (water) per gallon)

2.7 drives like my 4.3l s10 except it has no power up hills. no difference when best is loaded down. I had the rear squatting a good bit once w/ bout 1000lbs & hauled like a champ! Yes I have a manual

Yeah see I think if I would have bought it with a manual I may still be driving it. We bought our tiny camper and stock empty it only weighs 900lbs. Our first trip with it we went over some steep winding mountain roads and I couldn't get over 30mph with it. It was stripped over the next week and traded the following Saturday. I really liked that little truck. Sometimes I wish I would have never found TW and would have left it with the spacer lift and 285's. Oh well it is what it is and we have fun with what we have when we ever get a chance

I wanted the v6 but couldnt justify $4k for 2 cylinders but mostly couldnt afford it. So here I am w/ a generic base model 4x4 4popper. it does what I ask of it w/ no questions asked. :amen:

That's a solid truck. If you haven't already the only performance mod I would suggest/ recommend is the LCE header. I know they are a little pricy at around $450 but a relatively easy install and I could actually notice the difference. You can see the other trucks build in the very beginning of this thread as the whole first part is the other truck. The header really helped with the heavy assed Coopers and the armor.

Joe I had to drive home in the dark last night and the lights worked perfect. I did put a bead of RTV around the seam where the lense contacts before I installed them and SO Far no moisture :fingerscrossed:

Sylvania silverstar ultras. There is massive debates on here if they are better or not then regular bulbs but I’ve used them in multiple vehicles and have always liked them. And for me they last a pretty damn long time
